10th anniversary

Anyone celebrate an anniversary at POR? Wondering if they do anything special for this occasion, like better room or something. Would we need to let them know before or at check-in?

I suggest if you want something special for your anniversary that you arrange and pay for it yourself. Too many people expect that all they need to do is mention they are celebrating something and Disney will provide something for them.

So that you will not be dissapointed plan on WDW not doing anything. Then if they do happen to surprise you with something it will be a magical moment.

I would call and have them mention it in your reservation. Not much else you can do.

We celebrated our 10th anniversary at POR this past August.
Nothing special. I did call ahead and told them what we were celebrating and n the second day there was a signed picture of Mickey & Minnie wishing us "congrats" and happy 10th anniversary.

My wife thought it was neat and till this day she has no clue I had arranged it. (or at least she is not letting on. )

Its a 5x7 picture which we have framed and in our bedroom.
We also have a signed picture of Bob Jackson - Piano Man wishing us happy 10th.

My Hubbie and I just got back from Wilderness Lodge Concierge for our 10th Anniversary- They gave us a signed pic from Snow White and the dwarves, plus 3 regular helium balloons. It was nice- hadn't expected anything- had already arranged some very nice dinners as a celebration...Jill
