Well here we go again! We just got back from Jacob's MAW trip in Feb/March and we were bitten by the Disney bug! DH and I are planning a 10 year anniversary trip without the kiddos in September. Guess I better get planning!

So our actual anniversary is Sept 21st but Food & Wine doesn't start until the 28th so we are going a week later so we don't miss it. :)

Our plans so far:
Arrive Sept 27th
Depart Oct 2nd
5 nights/6 days at Yacht Club (standard view to save $$)
6 day hopper passes
Flights using miles! Woo hoo! Only $10 to save $$$$
Deluxe DP!

Things we would like to do:
Spend at least 2 FULL days at EP and probably a few evenings as well
Thinking about doing Keys to the Kingdom Tour
Lots of rides/coasters that we didn't ride in Feb/Mar on DS's trip b/c he didn't make the height requirements
POOL!
Nightlife since it is/was hard to do with 2 kiddos in tow
Cirque? Maybe?
Good meals we don't have to eat cold! :)
MNSSHP?

Also, we want to switch to Boardwalk Villas but they are booked for studios so I will keep looking.

Plans:

Sept 27 - Arrive ~9:30am
Sept 28 -
Sept 29 -
Sept 30 -
Oct 1 -
Oct 2 - Depart ~7:00pm

The rest is open! Time to start planning!

Ok a little more about us:

I'm Katie and a SAHM but in my prior life I was a computer programmer for a large corporation. My life pretty much revolves around taking care of my 2 kiddos and the house right now. One day once we are done having kids and they are in school full time I plan on going back to school and work. I'm not quite sure what I want to do yet when I growup but I have considered being a sign language interpretor (I've been learning since Jacob was a baby and love it!), an ultrasound tech, a birth doula, accounting or finance (have business degree and have considered going back for an MBA) to doing some sort of work in the pediatric oncology world (social work, childlife, charity work etc). So you can see my interests are hugely varried.

My DH is John and he works as a director of customer service in a healthcare company. He's spent all of his career in customer service mostly in the call center industry. He's super handy and does most of all the repair/updating/upgrading/etc on our house and cars. He's a self-described car and gadget nut and also likes audio stuff. He's currently working on rehabing a boat and planning on wiring a surround system in our house.

We have 2 kiddos. They aren't going on our trip but I'll post about them from time to time so I should introduce you:

Jacob just turned 6 in March and Gracie is 2 and will be 3 in June. Jacob is in kindergarten and likes the things most boys his age like, superheros, transformers, Star Wars etc. He takes Karate and is working towards his yellow belt (has a yellow-white) and he also has been doing swim lessons since school starts. He wants to be a chef-swim instructor-black belt when he grows up. Jacob was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblasic Leukemia or ALL (hense my user name) on 7/28/2010. He has done 20 months of treatment and has 18 months of chemo left. I could go on and on about it but basically we have had a rough last two years as a family. Jacob chose to go to Disney and Legoland for his Make-A-Wish trip and we got back in March from his trip. It was FANTASTIC! That's where John and I were bitten by the Disney bug and why we are going back for our 10th Anniversary.

We also have a 2 year old name Gracie. She is a spitfire redhead (just like me!). She's ever the 2 year old and is quite funny. She loves the color pink and anything with sparkles and sprinkles. Cupcakes are about her favorite thing ever. She has cupcake blankets, pillow, sheets, stickers, shirts, pjs, slippers, bows, purses, you name it! She also loves to eat cupcakes of course. In addition to cupcakes she LOVES Strawberry Shortcake, Hello Kitty and Dora. Gracie loves to dress up in costumes and dance and "squirel" as she calls it (twirlling). She loves her brother and wants to do everything he does exactly how he does it. She starts swim lessons in May and will start tumbling classes then as well.

Well that's us in a nutshell! I will add some pictures soon too. :)
