Day 3 part 2

After recharging our batteries with a sleep, swim and some supper, we headed back to MK. It was around 8 when we got there and some CMs were just inside the ticket turnstiles passing out the EMH bracelets. After getting these put on, we made our way to ds's favourite ride - Buzz. This is a great ride as long as you are not riding with ds. He always wants to steer but he hasn't quite mastered the art yet. I only rode with him once during our trip and I only managed to score about 30,000 points. When I was by myself I averaged about 300,000 (including that 100,000 point target near the beginning.) We didn't buy any of the pictures this time because we have two from last trip. You would think that after riding this ride about 15 times, I would remember where the camera is. :confused3 .

Our biggest plan of the night was to get ds on BTMRR. Before our trip he watched a ride video and thought he would like it but we could tell he was a bit apprehensive. We figured that the wait wouldn't be too bad while Spectromagic was going on so we headed for Frontierland before the parade cut us off. We realized in Liberty Square that there was quite a crowd waiting for the parade but we managed to squeeze through before the cm's shut the street down. BTMRR was posting a 20 minute wait so up we went. DS was getting a little nervous but he never backed out. When we got to the loading platform they put the three of us in the second row. This was a great little coaster. DS wasn't sure if he liked it when we first got off but a few minutes later he was talking about the "sweet turns" and asking to do it again.

We figured the parade would be past so we decided to head for POTC. What we didn't realize is that the Parade comes toward Frontierland not starts there so we ended up seeing most of the parade. Of course we were at the back of a large group, so ds was on my shoulders most of the time. I was also getting whacked in the side of the head with the Stitch Spinning light thingy that we bought for him on the way in.

After the parade had passed, most of the crowd started down the street towards Adventureland so we went the other way. There was still quite a large crowd pushing their way towards the Castle but we made out way along behind the parade. I am proud to say that I never ran into anyone the entire trip with our stroller. That is not to say thought that I didn't want to run into a few people. I still don't get why people step over a stroller. I mean they look right at it and then think, hey I can just step right over the front of that and get in front of them. After about a week in the parks, I felt strongly that some of these people should have been rammed. (enough of my rant)

We managed to cut through by the washroom to Adventureland and go for a spin on Aladdin. Always a fun ride and the camels don't spit on you at night. Getting off, we realized that it was almost time for Wishes. This was my must do for this trip so I was ready to run. We started towards the entrance of Adventureland to see if we could find a spot by Crystal Palace just as they started. Deciding that we wouldn't make it, we cut back over by the Double Diamond to make our way to Fantasyland. Coming back out by the riverboat, we decided to watch from there. I didn't know that the fireworks would be visible from that part of the park. DS wanted to find some rides but we convinced him to watch the show because there was a large crowd in Liberty Square and they were blocking our path. I managed to get a few shots without a tripod so I was excited to return another night to see Wishes from in front of the Castle.

After Wishes the crowd started to thin out so we made our way to Fantasyland and Tomorrowland to see what was open. Throughout the rest of the night we managed to get on Peter Pan, The Carrousel (even got Cinderella's horse), Dumbo, Tea Cups, TTA, the Speedway, and both Buzz and Aladdin again. We tried to get on the Haunted Mansion around midnight but it had just broken down. Bummer!! I think it would have been cool to do this ride for the first time at night.

It was around 1 am when we decided to head for the bus. We had packed a lot into one day and needed some rest. The bus proved to be our longest wait of the night, 20 minutes.

Highlight of the day: ds's new found love for the faster rides.

Next day (Saturday): sleep in and AK later in the day.

Take care all.

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Thanx for posting.

Great reports and super photos. I think we're going to have to include a trip to the barber shop when visiting the MK very soon.
