10th anniversary and looking for a nice romantic spot for a dinner. Only familiar with kid friendly dining and we'll finally be there alone! Husband loves basic seafood and steaks so any suggestions would be appreciated.
Jinko at the AKL? I was going to suggest Boma (also at the AKL) but you said you wanted romantic and Boma can get very loud when it is packed (as it usually is).
Jiko is very good but I don't think of it as basic steak and seafood. Yachtsman's Steakhouse might be a nice choice. California Grill can be romantic if you ask for the wineroom and if you think you'd both like things on the menu. Check it first though.
Although very far from basic V&A is the most romantic option by far IMHO!
Artist Point, ask for window seat. VERY adult, VERY nice. I had a delicious Beef Tenderloin and DH had a delicious Salmon, the Artist Point Berry Cobbler is outstanding. One is enough for two to share.
Jiko has VERY different food, hubby did fine last week, but didn't eat his veggies, which were "different", I got sick after. Maybe it was a fluke thing, who knows. I have to admit the food tasted delicious, but we won't be going back.
We haven't eaten at any of the others people have mentioned so I can't compare with them (yet)!!! We also like Le Cellier, but it's noisier than Artist Point.
It's hard to beat the setting for California Grill, but it can be noisy. Any of the places at GF are good. Le Cellier is good for steak in a little more unique setting then an usual open restaurant.
We will be celebrating our 9th anniversary kidless(for 1 night) in WDW next summer. We are pretty much basic eaters too. From looking at the menus Ive narrowed our choices down to Yachtmans Steakhouse or Palio. Both look a little nicer than the kid friendly places we are used to. Im sure they are still kid friendly, but they look nice and I dont mind other kids(its my own that drive me crazy, LOL! ).
My DH and I are spending our 10th anniversary at WDW this NYE. We have decided to eat at Shulas. We've never been there before, but I hear it is similar to Ruth Chris and we love the food there. We both love steak and seafood and they have excellent steaks, probably the best.
I'd vote for the Yachtsman Steakhouse, too, if good steak is important. As I remember it's quieter than a lot of Disney restaurants we've eaten in. Artists Point is great, and has a romantic setting as well.
I would suggest Yachtsman steakhouse!!!!! It is WONDERFUL!!!!!
We have eaten at alot of the resteraunts and find this to be the best! (IOHO) Infact we just ate there for our 10 year anniversary this past sept!!
