Hi all. We are staying at CR for our 10th anniversary and I would like to do a nice sit down breakfast on that day. Right now we have The Wave booked because of the obvious accessibility but I do love breakfast at Kona. It's hard to compare because we never at breakfast at the Wave or GF Cafe. GF cafe could be nice because we could stroll over the the Wedding Pavilion where we got married. Staying on the monorail is a must with my toddler. I have no desire to drive anywhere. Help me decide lol!

Which would you pick?

We've eaten at Kona for breakfast several times, it is usually our top choice for breakfast. My second choice would be GFC, we've never eaten here for breakfast, but the restaurant is nice. We've eaten at the Wave for dinner several times, my only complaint is how noisy is gets here. You can still take the monorail to GF and walk over to the WP, there is also a walking path from the Poly to GF.

I actually really enjoy GF Cafe. The atmosphere is relaxing, romantic, and pretty without being stuffy. Then a quick walk to the WP and you relive all those wonderful wedding memories.

That said, the Wave is very good and of course Kona is too. I'd try somewhere new, though - since it's a special occasion and opt for a little more luxury at the GF.

We stayed at the CR last month and I had the best breakfast at Kona Cafe. It was so good and their pressed pot of coffee is amazing. Here are some pics

We love the Poly too and after breakfast you can stroll around the resort.

I would choose GF Cafe. I know I'm in the minority but I didn't care for Kona for breakfast. I felt like we were practically sitting in the GCH lobby and didn't find there to be any real atmosphere. Plus we thought the food was just okay. We have a great local breakfast place within walking distance of our home and their eggs, whole grain pancakes, and coffee blow Kona away. So, with that as context, on the rare occasion that we do sit down breakfast at Disney, we look for a pleasant or unique atmosphere, or characters. I also find the Wave to be rather dreary with poor lighting (food is good, though) so I wouldn't choose that for a "special" meal either. Thus, GF Cafe is my choice, for the bright airiness of the setting and the decent food offerings. The proximity to your wedding venue is an added bonus. I think that would be a lovely stroll after your meal.

So I made GF cafe reservation for the day of our anniversary but may also sneak in the wave or Kona on the day we leave. Too hard to choose just one...lol! Thanks for everyone's opinions. Keep them coming. I love hearing all of the reviews!
