That is just the temp, not with the heat index. We are hiding inside. MADE the dog come in, he is not impressed with us. Heading down into the basement to watch a free borrowed movie. What are you doing?

I'm SO over this heat!! We're sitting inside playing Wii and surfing the DIS boards. :) Our heat index is down to 100 today (115 yesterday)! Cold front!

ETA: If I wanted to live in this kind of heat you can be sure I'd live closer to Disney!!!

We are at a current chilly 98 degrees, without the heat index. I do not know how anyone can do anything outside. My lip balm melted in my car yesterday!

I bought crayons yesterday, and had to come right home because I didn't want them to melt in the car when I did other errands!

We've had the heat dome over us since May. I'm am so over the heat and drought. We did have a storm 2 days ago that gave us some relief from the heat. Unfortunately it only rained .25 inches.

I feel for you guys not used to the heat. Drink lots of water and get yourself in a pool or play in a sprinkler or even take a cool shower. It will lower your core temp and help you get through the worst part of the day.

Praying for cooler temps.

It is 102F outside right now with the heat index!
I am really glad I parked on a lower...covered... deck of the parking garage today, otherwise my black steering wheel would be untouchable!

I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do this evening, but I can bet that it won't be outside!

As someone who lives in an area that had two feet of snow last winter (at one time), I am delighted with this weather! While I can't hang out outside too long, this is what summer is to me and I keep going outside just to enjoy (we're at a heat index of 108 here). I'd prefer it in the 90s and 100s as opposed to the -10 (or less!) we end up with here in the winter.

So as far as I'm concerned, bring on the sunshine! I'll take it!

We put in a pool this year. We have had record low temperatures all summer. It's struggling to get to 76 degrees today.

I would love some hot days! We are in the desert and is usually is 100+ during the summer.

Hmmm not bad here - 86 degrees currently *usually it's much warmer* I'm at work in my lovely air conditioned building and I'll head home in 50 min. to my 76 degrees house *the fan motor on our A/C unit went out and we had a hot house for a couple weeks - cost us $115 to replace the motor - our good friend who can fix anything took care of it for us.

111 degrees here with the heat index!

Our central air broke last year and given that it was 25 years old, the whole system needed replaced. According to my divorce papers, my ex-husband is suposed to do all home repairs but refuses to fix anything and now we are in the middle of a messy court battle and still NO central air!

So we have 1 window unit in the master bedroom. The kids are camping out on the floor and we have moved the X-box into the room as well!

Should cool off by Monday I think!

95 here 104 with heat index.

Felt like I was going to sweat to death walking in and out of the stores today. I don't even want the kids playing out there today.

This is why I opted not to have my garage sale this weekend, I did not want to sit out there all day, nor would I think others would be out looking for sales!

It is hard to beleive in 6 months we will be back below 0 worring about snow, which I thing I could jump in a pool of right now

:cutie::cutie::cutie:AMEN SISTER :cutie::cutie::cutie:

I will take this over snow anyday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was 118 a few weeks ago here, no big deal... It's 110 and lovely outside today!

The best part about summer here is that the pool is nice and toasty (93 degrees as of last night).

TIP: Drink a whoooole bunch of water. A whooooooooooooooole bunch. If your pee is yellow, you're not drinking enough water and are already dehydrated (this goes year-round, really).

We ventured out just long enough to rent Ghostbusters and pick up supplies to make my brother's family favorite brownies. Now we are back inside although the dogs are driving me crazy. They kept asking to go out then scratching to come back in because they realize how hot it is!

I am enjoying this weather because the winter here in central NY and thank God I have AC and a pool.

I am so with you. I am not complaining because the snow will fly sooner than expect:)

From what weather bug said on my phone today, it was 97 with a heat index of 104. I work with kids in a summer program and we take them to the city pool but it was SO crowded and didn't feel safe so we pulled them out.

TOMORROW, same temps expected going to the beach with a group of 50 kids.

Sleezebag. Sorry ... I'm hot and cranky.

Our house was built in 1917 and has no central air. We have 2 window units and like your kids my DD sleeps in our bedroom on an air mattress.
