:scared:  I just checked our local weather and the forcast for the weekend is saying highs of 106 for both days. I am so sick of the heat and it's only early June. I NEED to go north!

It is just too darn hot to do anything.

I really sympathize with you. And isn't there bad weather (tornados and thunderstorms) up your way this afternoon? DS lives just over the line in Denton, TX so we keep half an ear up on weather there. We routinely get very hot, humid weather down here, but it hasn't gotten up to 106 yet. Hope you have good air conditioning!

I think those storms are more in the eastern part of the state. Denton is about 3 hours southeast of here.

Our AC is pretty good, but I have 3 kids and it isn't easy keeping them inside when it is so hot. It is really too hot to go swimming too. I am from IL so I grew up with heat and humidity in August, but 3 months of it is too much. This will be our 4th summer here. I sure wish the Army would send us somewhere cooler!

Apparently I live in Hades. (Well, you know what I meant. ;) )
Me too! You know, we used to have a pool at our house, but one thing when we moved 2 years ago that we wanted-NO POOL! Lots of times it's just too hot to swim. Our pool wasn't heated and we'd keep a thermometer in it. At least half the time in the summer, the water temp was 90 degrees.

Yeah, but the minute I fork out the cash to put one in, the Army would move us! LOL We have passes to the waterpark, but when it is over 100, it just isn't fun.

Man, that IS a nice looking pool.... SOMEDAY, SOMEDAY, SOMEDAY!!! :thumbsup2
