104mph Winds on August 30th??????

Okay, maybe I'm being paranoid here, because my life has been moving along on the rocky side lately, but I just looked at Accuweather.com and it says the forcast for 8/29 and 8/30 calls for clouds and wind. I'm not talking about a little wind I'm talking about wind gusts of 104mph! Now I know that it's way too early to know the weather that far out for sure but I'm curious if anyone living down in Florida has heard of any upcomming hurricane activity headed that way. We will be flying in on 8/23 and staying until 8/30. I'd hate to get stranded at the airport on the 30th due to high winds.

I really NEED this vacation and I'm hoping God will be kind.

Very odd!!!!! I haven't seen anything on the Weather Channel about any Hurricanes yet and I find it weird they could predict already?

I see where you see that. It's bogus, in my opinion. Hurricane winds are not predictable 2 weeks in advance. Take it easy, hope for the best and prepare for the worst. My best advice: check other websites in the future.

I live in the Orlando area and there has been no talk of anything like that. I would think that being that far away, they can't predict how strong the winds are going to be. Keep your eye on the weather sites and I am sure it will change.

Strange, I checked accuweather for Orlando and the wind gusts are only 11mph. I think they have the wrong info up for Kissimmee.

I would not bother checking theweather till you are a day away,here in Fl they have know Idea what the weather is going to be like so dont worry!! Just think good thoughts!!
