Can anyone tell me about the store where everything is under $10 at DTD? I want to make sure we don't miss it! Thanks :)

I'd say dollar store Disney style...
lots of key chains ,mugs ,a few stickers, coloring devices,
some small stuffed animals,,
I think it a great place to get those last minute gifts or for kids to find a special gift for a friend back home.
Have fun shopping
Hugs Mel

Where is this place? I haven't seen it yet in our 6 trips.
I can't wait to check it out :)

It's kinda an "open air" area located near Disney Tails (Pet Supplies/Gifts) and Pooh's Corner.

As poster above said...lots of Novelty items...I think there are also some "clearance" Merchandise from all the other stores in the area...depending on the time of year you go. :confused3

From allears.net...

Mickey's Mart - "Everything Ten Dollars and Under," opened Thursday, November 11, 2004, at the Downtown Disney Marketplace between Disney Tails and Disney at Home in the old Discover Garden Shop location. It features unique gifts, as well as Surprise Grab Bags and Items of the Week.

This is so cool. We had planned to venture over to the Lego Store at DTD, anyway. Now I'll have to look up Mickey's Mart. :woohoo:

i could really get in trouble at this store from the sounds of it!! LOL It is definatley on my list to go to!

It's right by the Rainforest Cafe. We did A LOT of shopping there last month. I about wet my drawers when we passed it. I couldn't believe there was a store like that there.

Beware though, I think I came home with so much stuff I really didn't "need" 'cause it's always a MUST HAVE when you're getting such a "great" deal! :rotfl:

I wasn't really impressed with it on our trip, but it was really HOT out, so I was impatient to get back in the air conditioning. I would keep in mind though that you can find lots of reasonably priced souvenirs throughout DTD. My dds got necklaces in World of Disney for about $6, I think. We got marked down ornaments. In the Pooh store, I got my dd a Pooh-shaped bowl and a plastic Pooh cup with lid and straw for $2 each. I got one of the Mickey cookie cutters in a kitchen store, which weren't too pricey. Also in World of Disney, I got a really cute Mickey and Minnie photo magnet. They have lots of magnets! So my advice would be don't buy stuff just cause it's a good deal; look around for what you'd really like, and you'd be pleasantly surprised! Of course, maybe what you want is at the $10 store anyway. Have fun! :wizard:

not much bigger than our hotel room. :rotfl2:

There are lots of discontinued items (mugs from 2006) but plenty of pens/cups/novelty items for you to find something cute.

I will stop in again this year, but I have never been very impressed either.

They sell a bag of stuff for $10 I think, it had alot of neat stuff in it. Well worth it.

Glad to hear it isn't just me. Seems like the things they sell there are either discontinued or the unpopular left overs. We never bought from there, but always look just in case. I think if you look in World of Disney there are plenty of nice things under $10, but that's JMO.

We went by it and it was so small and packed that there was no way I was going to try and jam another stroller in.

I was excited for our trip there too..but was somewhat disappointed. I'm a bargain shopper and thought this store might have some sort of mark-downs or discounts not at the other stores...but it doesn't (unless you want a souvenier with 2006 on it). What it has is a bunch of stuff you can find at the other stores throughout WDW that are 10.00 or under to begin with - at least that's what was there on our trip. So you go all the way to DTD to see the same mug for the same price that you could have bought it at your resort gift shop.

On the plus side - we were able to take our kids in this store and say - you may pick one thing..ANYTHING you want for your souvenier. Now I would NEVER say that at any other store or I'd be sure to spend $60 each! :) So that was a very nice benefit - both kids got some cute things (ds got a WDW magnetic book thing that you can make different scenes with the magnets and dd got a Minnie mouse ruler/pencil/scissors/stapler all in a cute case!). So, all in all - it was worth the trip. Just don't expect any real bargains unless you are luckier than I was.

We went in December and I found small (9 inch) stitch's for $2.50 each WHAT A BARGIN. I also got each of my children a cup for $5, mickey hair ponytail holders $5, I wish I got a set of antenna mickey's but I didn't:headache: I would definately go back- items change all the time- you never know what Disney treasure you will find!
