hello everyone, this is my 1st post. We are doing the transatlantic crossing in Sept. on the Magic. We are platimum members and it will be out 13th Disneycruise, but the giddyness never goes away. We always book inside cabins due to our budget,but sometimes we get upgraded free of charge to rooms with a porthole.I was wondering if anyone else has had a free upgrade, and how do Disney decide who gets em.If it,s alphabetical order I,m changing my name to Aarron Aarrdvark.

I have gotten upgrades on 3 of the 5 cruises I have been on. Look when you book for the GTY rooms. These are nice, a cheaper price, and have been successful upgrades. The GTY rooms are garauntee rooms that they sell in bulk without a room assignment. Later they fill room UP as rooms permit.

If your cruise is not full, they will adjust room assignments. What I have found is that if it may depend on Priority Club status, Special Events, and random.

I was told by a cruise employee, purchase the lowest fair that you will be satisfied with. Then if you get an upgrade it is gravy. My first cruise went from a window to a veranda, no sent back to window.

Thank you for the info. It,s made things clearer.I,ll keep my fingers crossed for the cruise next week, but even so they,re still nice rooms whichever we get arn,t they? ps. it,s now 8 sleeps. Thanks again.
