10+ people and splitting checks

Hi everyone. I hope someone who may have been in this situation can help me. I'm going to DW with about 10+ people. We probably won't do to many sit down meals, but I have a questions about getting seperate checks at the sit down restaurants. Has anyone ever asked their server to do seperate checks for say 3 parties at the same table maybe even 4? Yes I know that many people I need advance reservations and automatic gratuity is added to the checks.

The reason why I'm asking is because unfortunately I have an In-law who isn't very quick to putting his hand in his pocket for his meal and well that's just not right at all. I really don't want to have to avoid sit down meals completely. So I'm wondering has anyone ever done more then 2 seperate checks at a single table full of people?

Last time we went, we had a party of 9. My family, my sister's family and her inlaws. We had no trouble getting the seperate checks. We just made sure we told the server before we ordered.

You will be fine asking for seperate checks.

Just make sure that the appropriate people are on the bill when you get it. I know sometimes with that many people it can get confusing, but it should be fine.

We have done this before on numerous trips. We tend to make sure that we are all seated so that the groupings make sense (don't have one person from our party sitting away from the rest of our party) and we tell the server when we order our drinks.

Agreed. They are used to separate checks. Once in a while we have an item show up on the wrong bill (so double-check when you receive them), but they're usually pretty good. Like others, we usually tell them when we order our drinks.

We did a Dismeet at Boma with 27 of us, on about 20 checks, some on ddp, most not. Our very patient server got everything right and,although still not a fan of the food, we all left happy.

I have to say during our GG last December, we had split cheques every night. The CM's were so efficient with the process, you could tell it's a VERY common request. Just be sure to tell the CM up front, and you won't have any issues.
