10 of us together and whose taking bets on when the bus will get here! UPDATED 10/6

I have been gone for a few days. Just caught up on your report. Good pics. Looks like the girls are having a good time. How can 4 teen/preteen girls not have a good time?

Sounds like you had a great time in Vegas. I have been doing a little catch up again myself. The 10 of us were together again at Hershey Park this weekend. We were hoping to get the girls on some of the roller coasters to prepare them for Disney. We succeeded  Now the 4 of them can't wait to go on RnR!

Whenever the 4 of them get together they always have a good time.

Great TR. Them screwing up the rooms doesn't sound like fun tho.

BEcause of the room screw up, my mother complained and they comped the first night we were there for the three rooms. It got even worse when we returned from the MK that evening. I'll talk about that in the next update.

MK Part 2

After we got off of Tom Sawyer’s Island it was time to head for our ADR at the Crystal Palace. It was at this time that the sun started to peak out and the clods started to move out. We were all excited about heading to dinner and eating with the characters. We were seated at our table within 10 minutes, which was good because we were all very hungry. After we were seated they made an announcement that it was time for the parade. We were able to convince Rachel, Meghan and Lauryn join the parade. They were the oldest kids doing it.

It was then time for the characters to come out and mingle. Where we were sitting, we were the last table to get our visits from them. It was ok because we needed a rest from our busy day so far.

When we stepped outside after dinner, we could not believe the difference in the weather. The sky had cleared to a perfect blue and the temperature had dropped about 20 degrees. We decided to take a walk through the Swiss Family Treehouse. This was one of the attractions that I remember doing from when I was a kid. We got some great shots from up in the tree.

We then headed over to Cinderella’s Castle. We got some great shots over there also.

We finally found a PP to get a pic of the 10 of us together. Mom and Dad in the middle, my family on one side and my sister’s on the other.

After we walked through the castle I remember one of our must sees was Mickey’s Philharmagic. I followed TGM advice and we had perfect seats for this show! cWe all LOVED this show.

We then headed over to It’s a Small World. This is a must do every time we visit. My Dad helped build the original at the NY World’s Fair in 1964. He even got Walt Disney’s autograph.

After It’s a Small World we headed over to the Hall of Presidents. This is another one of my favorite attractions. I get chills every time I see it.

It was getting close to the time Spectro would start, so we found a good spot to watch the parade. We all got giddy when we could hear the music from the parade approaching.

After the parade we took a quick ride on BTMRR. While we were on it, Wishes was going on. We really didn’t get to see too much of the show. It was time to leave the park and head back to POR. I got this shot as we were leaving the park.

We headed to the bus stop and had to wait for over 30 minutes before we finally got on a bus to take us back to the resort. The big question now was “What about our rooms” We went to the front desk and rechecked in and then we headed to our new rooms. We were in Alligator Bayou and now we were over in the mansions right by a bus stop. Yeah! Our luggage arrived about 15 minutes later only to find out that one of my sister’s bags was missing. In this bag was my BIL’s wallet and his blackberry. He was not a happy camper and the CM that brought our luggage was very patronizing and very unsympathetic. It took about 30 minutes before the bag was found and everything was OK. Now it is off to bed to get some sleep.

Next up DHS and How long before the bus gets here!

I am thoroughly enjoying your TR. You got some wonderful shots. I can't comment on any one in particular. They are ALL great! Keep 'em coming!!!

I am glad you are enjoying the report. It took me along time to go through pics from this trip. THere were 8 of us taking pics and we had almost 3500 of them to go through. I can't wait to see how many we ended up taking in Oct.

Excellent update. Great pictures. Don't you love having the group pics of the 10 of you together? I think that was one of my favorite things. Would love to see some old ones again. I should look through my old pics. We first went in 1974.

We did the same set up in all four parks. It is great when you can get everyone in the pic and not have to ask people to take your pic and explain how to use your camera.

I'm going back up to my parents Aug 12th. The girls are making another trip to Hershey for their bday. THis time it's just the 4 girls going, COUSINS ONLY - NO ADULTS :rotfl: Anyway, I'll see what else he has and try and post them for you guys.

That would be cool. I love seeing the old pictures.

Sheilagh! How in the world did I miss the fact that you had started a trip report? If it had been a snake it would have bit me.:rotfl:

Let's see if I remember what I wanted to say: 1) Airport pictures: What cutie pies all of you are! 2) Check in: Um...sorry you had to go through all of the hassles; 3) Just think, since you haven't ridden Space Mountain yet and it'll be closed when you are there next, you have a good excuse to plan ANOTHER Disney trip; 4) Crystal Palace pictures are adorable; 5) Multiple rides on Big Thunder Mountain...sweet! 6) Yucky smucky for having to deal with a "lost" bag.

Okay, I think that's it. I'm through now...carry on.

You should, Ginny. I love seeing the old pics.

Well I am glad that you made it over! We are blessed that we have such good looking girls. Three of them enter high school this fall. :scared1:

I am hoping to get in couple of more updates this weekend. We leave for the shore this weekend and will be gone for a week with no internet connection. I will have a lot of catching up to do when I get back.:surfweb:

Hey everyone, sorry this is going to be a little long, but I wanted to get something posted before we headed down to the shore for the week.

Day 3 – We’re off to DHS – that is if the bus gets here!

We awoke to a beautiful, unseasonably cool morning. Perfect park weather! After everyone was up and dressed we headed to the bus stop for DHS and wait and wait and wait for a bus. We waited for 2 hours before we finally got on a bus! Every time a bus stopped at our stop we would ask when the next bus for DHS would be. We got the same answer every time, there should be one soon. We finally got a bus driver that explained the situation to us. There was a new transportation person and had changed a bunch of things around. The bus driver gave us the phone number for transportation and told us to please call and complain, because the drivers were frustrated with the new system also. Needless to say this number went on to speed dial with the phones. As a side note, my niece still has the number on her phone in case we need it again this year. Well we finally got on a bus and started to head over to DHS.

Since my itinerary is now out the door, we decide to head over to Tower of Terror. Along the way we got our picture taken

.

While everyone was figuring out who was going on ToT, I ran over to RnR to get fastpasses. When I got back my Mom had decided to stay with Meghan, Beca and Lauryn and the rest of us went on the ride.

IMG_0293.jpg

I wasn’t sure how bad the ride would be, I get motion sickness, but I found it to be very smooth and did not feel nauseas at all.

After that we got some lunch and then headed over to Indiana Jones. While we were waiting on line we started to figure out the times of the shows we wanted to see and realized we wouldn’t be able to keep our ADR for 50’s Prime Time, so I ran over to cancel it. I got back in line with everyone just as we were started to head in for our seats. Everyone really enjoyed the show and thought that the stunts were amazing.

We then headed over to do Star Tours. The line was long so we grabbed FPs for them and decided to head over to Lights Action. Just as we were getting there, they closed the gate. I hate the slow walkers in the group! Now what to do to kill some time. We decided to walk around the city scenes and we stumbled upon a spot to meet Kim Possible. We decided to get in line since she was going to be there in 10 minutes. Now let me tell you that not only were the 4 girls in line waiting to see her, but so was my BIL Frank! He apparently is a HUGE fan! The girls were first to meet her, get autographs and their pics taken. Now it’s Frank’s turn. I’ve got the camera ready and my sister has been video taping the whole thing. HE had my nieces autograph book with him so he didn’t look like a pervert. HE spent the whole time gushing over her and telling her she was his favorite cartoon hero. When it was time to get his pic taken he wanted Ron Stoppable to step away, but he wouldn’t. At the last second, Frank stepped in front of him and I was able to get a pic of Frank and Kim. When Frank left, the person playing Kim was red in the face and looking quite embarrassed. My sister then interviewed Frank and he proceed to tell about meeting Kim and how great she looked in her outfit and how good she smelled.

We then headed over to Muppets in 3D. Although this wasn’t as good as Philharmagic, it is still a wonderful show to see and to take a break. After the show we still had some time to kill before the next Stunts show, so the girls went to play on the Honey I Shrunk the kids playset.

It was now time to head over to the Stunts show. We found it really interesting to see how they filmed the chase scenes and how the cars worked doing the chases. It almost spoils the thrill when you go to a movie and see car chases when you know how they filmed it.

After the show, we decided to do the Backlot Tour. Is it just me, or has this attraction become more lame. It just wasn't that interesting anymore. THe only thing that everyone enjoyed was the truck explosion and the rush of water.

It was now time to head for Star Tours. Since I am prone to motion sickness, I sat this one out while everyone else went on. Rachel and Meghan loved this ride. As a matter of fact they went back later on that night and rode it 2 more times.

After ST we decided to get a quick bite to eat and then headed over to RnR. THe girls were too chicken to ride the coaster and my mother is not that big on them, so they waited for us in the gift shop.

Coming up next: the rest of DHS

Let's see, where to start?

Holy smokes on how long you guys had to wait on a bus! I'd have been having a fit if we had to wait that long. Kudos to you for thinking about keeping the telephone number.

Cute Photopass picture of ya'll in front of the Tower of Terror.

Great pictures of the Indiana Jones and the Lights Motors Action show. We really enjoy both of them too.

I think it's funny that Frank had to have his picture taken with Kim Possible. That's soooo something my husband would do. He once walked around all day long with Cruella Deville's lipstick lip marks on his cheek.

Over the years, we have become a little bit bored by the Backlot Tour too although we still do it each and every trip. I liked it better when you rode through the neighborhood and saw the houses used in the television shows.

I can't believe that there was a long wait for Star Tours. In all of our 13 trips, the longest we have ever had to wait was 20 minutes. I say this and the next trip we'll probably have super long waits for the ride.

What a cute picture of the five of you surviving Rock n' Roller Coaster. That is my all time favorite ride in all of Disney World. Love it!

Okay, I think that's it. Have fun at the shore!

2 HOUR WAIT FOR THE BUS??? :scared1: I would have been livid. You should rename your TR: "Are we there yet? How to entertain yourself while waiting on the bus!"

I agree with Lisa: the pic in front of TOT is so cute. Just love the scary faces. And again I agree with Lisa, the Rock-n-Rollercoaster survivor pic is too cute, also!

Okay, one more thing: I just remembered that I wanted to comment on the ToT CM pic. He looks a little scary!!! Something about those eyes... great character for the ride!

What a great update. I loved all the rides at DHS. Looks like most of them were loved by you also. The family shot in front of TOT was great. We enjoyed Indiana Jones and the stunt show also. Enjoy your time at the beach. I'll think of you.

Ginny
