Hey all cruisers

Just wondering if anyone else is also spending some play time at the World before going on the cruise.

We only travel out East every couple of years so when we go, we go big!

Getting close.....getting excited! Wheeeeeeee!!!!!

I think that several people are going to MNSSHP on Friday night before the cruise, but we are opting for Epcot and the Food and Wine Festival instead. Nothing like some great food and a little wine for a little pre-cruise relaxation, it doesn't hurt that my ds (9) loves Epcot more than any other WDW park.

I just logged into the Disney site to see if our GTY room has been assigned a number and still nothing. But I was surprised to see that they have re-done the website and they now list us as "7-Night Eastern Caribbean with Tortola"...guess that is news to me!

We're going to be at the beach club from the 5th & running all over the parks like mad I imagine. We love all the parks so who knows where we'll end up. lol

Interesting! I don't care where the boat goes, as long as I am on it. I just want sunshine and those pretty drinks with umbrellas!

I think that the Beach Club is kind of pricey, but we LOVE the pools, the big pirate ship slide is a hit with my kiddos. Plus, we love the location and figure for one night we'll splurge! We are actually getting in on Thursday and staying at Pop Century to "even-out" the cost!

We are now booked for the resort and for MSSSHP!!!


We got AAA rates. Too bad the Visa rate didn't apply to our week in Oct!


We are staying at Carribean Beach resort for TWO DAYS prior to the cruise and doing the Halloween Party on the 9th.


(Note: I did look at Beach Club...Stormalong Bay looked amazing!!! Ultimately decided to stay with Moderate due to price.)

I'm waiting on DH to book the car rentals (he promised he'll do it this weekend) and then I also need to book the Universal tickets. Other than that, I'm all booked.

Yesterday, while back-to-school clothes shopping for DD, picked her up a couple of summer dresses for the cruise. Got DS's formal shirt for the cruise. So far, DD is the only one that has a stack of new items for the cruise: sunglasses, flip flops, swim suits, dresses. With the summer clothes going on clearance, it's a good time to snatch up these items!

I love Target's $1 bin! I find such fun stuff there. Part of my FE gifts came from the $1 bin. Can't beat that price!

Wow! I've been booking spa services & palo online.....there is not much left to choose from! I remember on our first Disney cruise in 2000 they told us on the bus to go straight over & reserve our dinner or we would loose it. It was a mad dash then. Now? I don't know if they would have any times left if we waited till on board to book.

So...if you have not booked your spa or palo do it now!

Hey Jac how did your kids' first day of school go? I can't believe that the summer is over already, I feel like it was just getting started. My kids had a great couple of days! My oldest ds just started 7th grade and boy it was tough to send my baby off to Junior High!

I have to go back to work next week, and I am DREADING it, more so than I have ever dreaded going back to work.

The first day was great. My DS wasn't thrilled to go back to school but that's life, he's a sophomore now. And DD was thrilled to pieces, she started Kindergarten. So far so good. It really is hard to believe school is already in session, I know what you mean when you say you feel like the summer just started. But..them going back to school just means we're that much closer to the cruise because they have to start school to go on fall break!!

FE's pretty much done. How many items should we bring anyway?????? I have asked that before...anyone?

Kids back to school already?? OUCH! Mine hit the books the 1st week of September. The DS thinks its sooo cool that he's going to miss a week and a half right when he goes back! SPOILED BRAT!!

In LAs Vegas working a trade show right now...its reallly slow! But, i'd rather be here than outside! Its a kewl 111 today! OUCH!
