10-Oct-2009 - Eastern Magic St. Croix

For those who use Southwest, the flight schedule is now available out to 10/31/09. I just got from Philly $89 down to MCO and $99 back. Nice.:cool1:

With all the advertising SW is doing right now about the $49 one-way specials, were you surprised that the Phila prices started at $89 and $99? I was hoping they'd be lower.

Can someone tell me the times that the MNSSHP would be that Friday night pre-cruise? We're thinking of doing it since it's cheaper than a daily park ticket.

That's actually a really good plan, mind if I copy you?? :lmao: DH says he's good with it, and DD16 would like to go to MNSSHP since we've never done that party before. I haven't mentioned it to DD13 yet. We might do our swimming at one of the swim parks, depending on how cool or not cool the pool at Bay Lake Towers turns out to be.

Copy my plan - no problem. I am glad you think it's a good plan. I think I have also convinced DH it's a good plan, think we may book our air travel tonight!

Thank you for posting this. While the prices for SW aren't perfect for me, it did send US Airways prices back down. US Airways was low, then it went up, but after you posted - their prices dropped again.

The times are 7 pm - 12 am and I have read that you can get in as early as 4 pm if you have a ticket to MNSSHP! ;)

I posted on the design board asking for help with our signs with our name on them. I think they came out super cute!! :flower3:
They are super-cute! Are you taking all of them or are you planning on choosing a few?

I booked our flights. Early? :confused3 Premature? :confused3 Impatient? :confused3 Maybe! But I justified it in my head and isn't that all that matters? ;)

Now I just need to wait until May 1st to call and order our MNSSHP tickets.

What to do now? Research hotels for the 2 nights we need a room for before the cruise and the 2 nights after!

We go to MNSSHP every year. I am in AZ and we always visit Epcot and MGM with a park ticket. We do not go the MK with a daily ticket. We buy the $40.00 MNSSHP ticket and you can get in with that ticket at 4PM even though the party starts at 7PM. We hang out in Adventure land for an hour or so - lines are very short because people are leaving the park since they can not stay all night. At 6 we head to fantasyland and ride every ride there in an hour... Then we head to the back of the park at 7 for the MNSSHP fun and we can ride the entire park in that night and we do not need to go another time - it is cheaper than a daily ticket and a lot more fun - just know - the candy is there all night -DO NOT WAIT IN A CANDY LINE - ride a ride and come back later!!
They have a special fireworks and parade for th enight and the characters are out in costumes plus unusual characters are out that you rarely see - lke snow white with her 7 dwarfs....
OH - and this is our rest day - we do not enter a park in the morning - we swim at the hotel!

OK, now you have me interested. I was thinking that this was something that I not only didn't want to do, but wanted to completely avoid. We got stuck at MGM on the first day of "Star Wars Weekend" a couple of weeks ago and it was CRAZY. The dh is not really a fan of crowds and I was so nervous I would lose a kid (not that I would mind that much when they won't stop fighting). How busy is MNSSHP? What ages is it really geared toward (would my 12 yo and his 13 yo buddy be bored)?

Sorry for the multiple posts tonight, but I haven't figured out how to quote multiple people yet. Ok, so it is just super-easy to hit the quote button and then type my heart out!

I am flying in from phx on US Airways on Thursday night also, I wonder if we are on the same flight! Of course the rest of the fam gets to travel in early on Thursday, but since it is my last day with students, I cannot leave as early as they can.

My DH doesn't like the big crowds either but he was open to doing this. From what I read, the ticket sales are limited and we are going on a non-premium evening. So.. we're going to tough it out. And what 12 yo and 13 yo wouldn't love loads of candy??

What flight are you on Thursday night and is it nonstop? I think we're on flight 569? It leaves PHX 3 pm.

Yep, nonstop leaving PHX at 3 getting in around 10. Maybe we should carpool to the airport :goodvibes.

I am taking the Magical Express over to Pop Century to meet the family for the night, then transfering to the Beach Club on Friday. Where are you planning on staying?

I checked out the Southwest flights - DEN to MCO is still $300. *sigh* Southwest doesn't have cheap fares anywhere I want to go.

:lmao: What kept you? I booked mine two weeks ago!

It was a lot of money to spend and I wanted to decide what I wanted. I'm going to scream if the air fare drops but at least we're booked.

We're on the same flight to Orlando. Isn't that funny?

I'm not sure where we're staying. I was just looking at some of the Marriott hotels at the Marriott Village. Anyone know anything about these hotels?

American. My ticket price has actually gone up since I booked.

When I booked our flight last night, I was able to choose our seats, and for the most part, the plane is wide open - hardly any seats booked. So..I'm nervous the flight price may go down between now and October. :confused3 Oh well. I think the price I paid is pretty decent, considering, and now I can move on to the other phases of planning this trip. I'm totally excited about the nonstop flights, though. That should make traveling with DD a lot easier.

I love them all! So hard to choose. I have 2 favorites, the one with Mickey in the middle and the ports around the sides. I think that was #4 and the last one.

Please feel free to use any that you like, I requested them for all of us!!! :goodvibes

And so it begins....

Was at Target tonight and found Lysol travel size! It says it's New! and I certainly don't recall seeing Lysol as a travel size before. :confused3 I bought it but am going to need to go buy another one for our trip. But it begins...must break out the plastic container to start storing stuff I buy for the cruise. :rolleyes1 :sad2: but really I'm doing this - :dance3::dance3:
