Hello everyone,
We have just returned to the very cold and snowy North from 11 lovely days at Disney World. We were there from Jan 21-31. We are: Elizabeth (mom, planner), Doug(dad, best husband EVER), Aiden (10 year old daughter who can really eat!), and Avery (9 year old daughter who likes to share with mommy). I'm just going to give a very brief review of where and what we ate. I don;t have too much to say because we enjoyed all of our meals and most of them we would repeat again.
Table service:
Teppan Edo (dinner). Doug and I both had the steak/chicken, Aiden had filet, Avery had shrimp. This is one of our favourite meals, everything is nice and fresh and the cook was really funny. Doug had the ginger chocolate cake for dessert and the kids had ice cream. I was too full! We will repeat.
Le Cellier (lunch). Doug and I both had the soup and mushroom filet. When we go to steak restaurants Doug always orders prime rib, but I convinced him to try the filet (and prime rib isn't available at lunch). He was impressed. Aiden had soup and NY strip and Ave had the kids steak. It was as delicious as always. I love the soup so much! I do enjoy having this meal for dinner rather than lunch because it is such a big meal! Avery skipped dessert and the rest of us had the creme brulee, YUM!
Crystal Palace(breakfast). We have done this before and will likely do it again. Nice variety for everyone. I really enjoyed the fruit (berries esp.)
Kona Cafe(dinner). This was a new restaurant for us and I was really looking forward to it. I had planned to have the shrimp and scallops, but had a somewhat blah shrimp sandwich for lunch, so didn't feel like it once dinner time came. I was torn as to what to order, and ended up with the chicken pan asian noodles. It was just okay. Doug and Aiden both ordered this as well, and they thought it was good, but not outstanding. I had a bite of my friend's chicken and if I didn't get the shrimp and scallops next time I would get the chicken. Ave had the Mickey Ravioli which she enjoyed. Doug had the torte for dessert and I had the cheesecake. Both were good, but we were so full!!
