10 Nights, 9 Days, 2 Birthdays and 1 Magical May 2014 Vacation! **Complete 6-10**

Another vote for switching to Breakfast at Akershus! Sounds like a fabulous plan to me!

How exciting about the 1/2 Marathon! You Go Girl!! You will do awesome, having long term goals are the best motivators!!

I'm glad you think so too! I haven't spoken to my in laws yet, but the hubby is all for it! It just makes total sense to do so! I feel like I'm rearranging everything around at the beginning of our trip thanks to Anna, Elsa and the 24 hour party! Ha ha!

And I completely agree! Long term goals are great motivators! I hope I survive! Ha ha!

Oh my goodness... have I been neglecting this PTR or what!?!?

Not much Disney planning has been going on, but we're only 17 days away from being able to make our FP+ reservations!!! So I must find a time to meet up with my in laws to figure out exactly what we're going to do with that! I'm happy to have them along for the ride, but this would be one time where traveling with our family of 4 would make life a little easier! Oh well! I'll gladly take the stress for the extra sets of hands while we're there! Ha ha! :rotfl:

We have also had another Disney Movie Night that I need to update on, but that's going to have to wait until at least tomorrow night. I'm bad. I know.

Some exciting "Real Life" updates though that ARE Disney related!!

We surprised the girls with Disney on Ice last weekend and we had a blast! Addie was soooooooo excited when she figured it out and she LOVED it! Harper on the other hand I think liked the seats that automatically fold up when you get off of them more. I bet she drove the people next to us crazy with her constant up, down, up, down, up, down. That girl would not just sit still and enjoy the show! Oh man, she's our handful! Unfortunately, I'm pretty much pictureless until I confiscate my husband's phone! I'm such a dummy and left my camera in the car!! I, of all people, left it in the car. Couldn't believe it! Oh well :( I guess iPhone pics will just have to do!

Then the last Disney related "Real Life" update... as you may notice in my ticker... I'M PLANNING ANOTHER TRIP TO DISNEY!!!

My sister, sister-in-law (DH's brother's wife) and I all just signed up for the Wine and Dine 1/2 Marathon on Nov. 8th!!!

I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am! I've been dying for my sister to come to Disney with me... and now that she has a little girl I'm even more excited for Disney trips in the coming years with her! She was looking for a good motivator to lose the baby weight and I was looking for a great long-term motivator. And then I stumbled upon the Wine and Dine Registration dates and saw they were quickly approaching! So I sent my sister a text basically asking her if she wanted to do it with me. She responded with a "Maybe :) Which one is it so I can look it up?" I told her and she said, "I'm down!" Yay! Yay! Yay!!!

Then I posted something on Facebook about it that I'm sure my BIL saw, because the next day my SIL sends me a text saying that she heard I was running the Wine and Dine. So I responded with an emphatic "Yes!" and asked if she was interested in joining us! I think she was just waiting for me to ask because she jumped on it!! She's quite the runner and since our first trip to Disney in October 2012 she's been dying to go back... and I just gave her the perfect excuse to leave the hubby at home and come along!

So we all officially registered within the 27, yes 27, hours that registration was open before it filled up! Pure craziness!

So now it looks like I'm training for my very first 1/2 marathon!! Since we've got so long we decided that we were going to start/restart the Couch to 5k program and then segway into Jeff Galloway's 1/2 marathon program! We will still have a few weeks left over of training, so we may repeat some Jeff Galloway weeks. I've got 8 months to train, so surely I can work my way up to a 1/2! I just fear getting swept by the balloon ladies, so I'm going to be working my butt off! But tonight's average between all the run and walk intervals (2.5 miles) was a 12:00 mile! My run intervals actually paced a 10:35 minute mile! And that was after months and months of not running! Hopefully it will just get better than that! And I think I'm going to find a 10k to do before August so I can submit a time to be placed in a earlier group so I can put a little buffer between myself and those dreaded balloon ladies!

I did my first workout tonight and since I just finished the C25k program a few months back (and haven't ran since my 5k) I decided to start on week 2... and it went really well tonight! So excited... and nervous... to start this training! So bear with me, and cheer me on :cheer2:, if you're hearing a lot about running in the coming months!! Ha ha!! I'm just glad I have my sister and this coming race to hold me accountable!

Once I know more about set dates and plans, I'll let you in the DisWorld know! I will be getting stuff figured out soon so we can make sure we've got a room reservation all lined up!!

You guys are getting so close! Its hard to believe you are only 17 days away from making FP+!

I am glad you all enjoyed Disney on Ice, it was a cute show!

I am so excited to hear all about your 1/2 marathon trip plans! That is so exciting!

Hi! I'm stopping over to say 'hi!' from my TR. I LOVE your theme nights! I was really hoping to be able to do more of them for this trip, but we both just got so busy it didn't end up working out.

As for your ADR dilemma, I would DEFINITELY switch to the breakfast ADR. I asked the line handler how long the line was on Wednesday (3/5) and at the time, right around noon, it was at three and a half hours. She said by 9:30 that morning they had over 500 people in line! It would absolutely be worth it, in my opinion, to have the breakfast ADR if meeting them is important!

Eeeeek!!! :scared1: I know! I can't believe we make them so soon! Tried talking to my MIL tonight while at my nephew's birthday party about them... but when you're trying to keep track of 4 kids at Chuckie Cheese (ughhh...) it's not an easy thing to do! I think I might just have to shoot her an e-mail!

Thanks for popping in! We are definitely having a lot of fun with our movie nights! And I hear ya about being busy... a few of our nights have been pushed into the following weeks because of course things have come up! We were supposed to have another one tonight, but we found out last minute about our nephew's birthday party... so looks like we will be having 2 next week! Oh darn! :)

And there are way more pros in the breakfast column than cons! I'm 99.9% sure that's what we'll be doing because my girls are Anna and Elsa freaks (oh who am I kidding... so am I!) and thanks to her dance teacher telling Addie about the sisters being in Epcot, there's no getting around it! She's going to be bugging me every day until we meet them!

Better late than never right?!? We were supposed to do Movie Night #6 last week Saturday, but due to the lovely winter weather my sister had to move my Goddaughter's baptism to Saturday night instead of Sunday because church cancelled all services on Sunday! Worked out well because Aunt Kelli, Uncle Nick and baby Aria were able to join us for our movie night!

Monday March 3rd... The Aristocats!

Dinner was FANTASTIC! And filled with sugar, sugar, sugar... ha ha! :rotfl: On the menu was French Toast, a Crepe "bar" with all the fixings (strawberries, apples, chocolate, powdered sugar and whipped cream) and Chocolate Creme Puffs for dessert! Yummmmmmyyyyy!!! There were zero complaints!

My crazy girl never wants to look at the camera!

Mmmmmmm... those creme puffs! Brought me back to my childhood because my mom used to make creme puffs all the time! But it's been YEARS since I've had a homemade creme puff! I got the chocolate creme puff at Be Our Guest our last trip and boy was that the wrong decision. It was NOTHING like my mom's homemade ones... and after trying a bite of my hubby's strawberry cupcake that sealed the chocolate creme puff's fate in my eyes!

Anyways... onto the movie! I think this was the first time I'd seen The Aristocats and it will be the last. I was bored to tears! Addie fell asleep and all of us adults agreed that the best part of the movie was the wine. Ha ha! :rotfl: Once again, you win some, you lose some!

We were supposed to have our next movie night tonight, but had to post-pone it until next week thanks to my nephew's last minute rescheduled birthday party. Since I work ALL weekend long, it looks like we'll have two movie nights next week!

French Toast...I'll have to remember that for when our night comes :thumbsup2

I was planning to do a sweet and a savory crepe for dinner, but then... believe it or not... my DH was like, "How about French Toast?" So I will throw all the credit his way for that one! I did like how he was actually thinking about it!

Ugh Aristocats is Caden's movie of choice right now. And it is seriously boring!! Blah! Lol
And there aren't enough songs!

I don't think I've ever seen all of aristocats. I tried to show it to the girls once, but they only lasted about 10 minutes and were off playing after that, so I still haven't seen it all. guess i'm not missing much!

Looks like a yummy dinner! I think Arisocats is okay, not something I would watch all the time or anything. Its a little slow.
How fun that you sister and family got to join you!

I received the most wonderful text from our friends who are joining us over Memorial Day weekend! They are Florida residents and she found an awesome deal for a room at Pop and for Park Tickets... so instead of staying off property, they're staying at Pop Century with us now!!!! You know what this means?? I GET TO PRE-BOOK THEIR FAST PASSES TOO!!!

Well, at least I think that I do! Because their tickets were bought in a package, I should be able to make FP+ for them... right? Here's the kicker that makes me unsure. The tickets they were able to buy have black-out dates for Magic Kingdom, May 24th being one of them. And that's the day we're going there with them. Do you think with their tickets being linked and knowing that those black out dates are there, will MDE let me book them for that day/park??

And another question... in order to use their tickets on the 24th, they are going to upgrade their tickets to Annual Passes before we go into the park that day because it will only cost them the amount of 1 more park day to upgrade to APs! So if I make FP+ for them, then they upgrade to AP's... is it going to affect the FP+ I previously made for them?

Oh so many questions! :confused3

Ughhhh... yeah. Was pretty much a snooze fest! I felt bad that we didn't get to do a more "fun" movie for my sister and BIL, but at least we had great food to make up for it! Ha ha!

when do you get to make ADRs? I'm so excited for you!

Looks like May 11th! I'm not sure how many we'll be making this trip... I'm thinking maybe just Sunday and Monday, so I'm going to have to make them good ones! Ha ha! But it is nice knowing that I'll have ADR's made for my second trip before I even leave for my first!!

Yay for you signing up for Wine & Dine! I've never been a runner, but I'm pretty sure I'm signing up for the Princess Half. princess:

I am struggling to decide what to do about Anna & Elsa, too. A friend was there in February and just went into the Norway gift shop and you could see them from a roped off area, but up close. She said they did interact with some of the kids standing there, but I feel like DD would get upset if she couldn't get close--assuming she likes the characters! But as of now, neither DH nor I want to be there at RD to make a run to stand in line!! Epcot morning is a "sleep in" morning for us on our trip otherwise! Who knows. :)

I love all your movie nights. I need to pull up my Touring Plans and compare. I gave myself a week off from them because I actually need to work at work instead! :lmao:

I think the Princess 1/2 looks like so much fun! I'd love to do either that or the Tinker Bell... you could have such cute running "costumes"!

Anna and Elsa are making me dizzy. All this changing things around to try to meet them with a minimal wait. Ughhh. My oldest HAS to meet them so we've gotta figure something out! So we made the breakfast ADR. Now I'm seeing that they're most likely moving to the MK and will be leaving Epcot! And hopefully when there, they will be a FP+ opportunity. That would most definitely be the best for us! Although, I wish they would keep them in BOTH parks to disperse the crowd for them! But that would make sense, so it probably won't happen! Ha ha! I'm just glad we kept our dinner reservation for arrival night because if they're out of Epcot we'll most likely be cancelling that and sticking with dinner on arrival night. See... between them and the 24 hour party I just might be losing my mind! These changes aren't very nice to this Type A personality! Ha ha! :rotfl:

Now... with Anna and Elsa and the 24 hour party, I think our Touring Plans for the first few days are pretty much screwed up. I got back on TP and noticed that they changed the park opening time to 6:00am, so I thought I'd try to change things around on there. But, I'm not so sure how much I believe them!! They're saying at at 7:28am on the 23rd, just 1 1/2 hours into the party, that the wait time for Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid is going to be 49 minutes. Really?? 49 minutes?? So I think I'm just going to make a list of attractions in some general order and we'll just use that, hitting up one "land" at a time.

I've been scouring the internet for some type of touring plan for the day of the 24 hour party and I've come up empty... so I don't really know what to expect! Just hoping we've got a decent plan!

Meeting Anna and Elsa is screwing with my park plans too. They were a big reason we were going to Epcot and not spending a whole day at MK. I still need to find out if I can make FP reservations for the day we are at MK before the party. That would help us a lot....
