10 days in Disney w/ pics

You guys sound so much like my DH and I. Our love for Disney grows all the time. That's why we even ended up buying into the DVC. It makes planning those trips so much better. And there were a few times that I teared up reading your post. It's amazing that some people just don't get why we love going to Disney so much. I know that my DH thought that I was crazy for loving Disney so much, that is until we brought him down there for the very first time. We ended up having to buy extra luggage to come home, because he bought so much stuff. It's a great place to make lasting memories. Slomething no on can take away from you!!!!

I can't even tell you how much I get asked "Disney Again?!?" they just DON'T UNDERSTAND! Oh well, more Disney for me Now you have me thinking about DVC ownership again. . .

For us the DVC was a wonderful investment. We were only going every other year...now we are going every year. And next year we have 2 trips planned. And I'm glad some people just don't get it...less people to be there when I am

You are so right about that! Like you, my husband and I have grown children, and Disney has given us so many wonderful memories. We too bought into DVC, and we continue to enjoy many Disney trips with our family. We are going in 4 weeks; I can't wait!!! So many people just DON'T "get it." I'll never forget the time my family was at a barbeque, and this woman who worked with my husband said, "How can you go to Disney for a WHOLE WEEK??? When we were there, we couldn't stand the crowd. I don't understand why you'd want to go back another day....we never would." My kids stared at her in disbelief. She and her family obviously thought of it as a morning-to-whenever marathon thru the park, and never had any of the wonderful, magical experiences we have had! We are the lucky ones!!!!

I loved reading your TR and is making me so excited about our trip this winter. It will be our DD's 1st trip there she is 1 and it will be DH and my 2nd trip there (1st for honeymoon and now as a family). We just bought into DVC and already have a trip for next year planned along with the one for this year. I don't get people who don't like Dis, I'm addicted and at least I can say it's a good thing to be addicted too :O)

Can't wait for another TR from you next year and I have a lot of good tips now for our trip in November!!

Oh I'm excited for you. We honeymooned at Disney too and had a GREAT time and want to go "just us" for our 10 year anniversary in 2 years (today is actually our 8 year anniversary, headed for a local bed and breakfast tonight - YIPEE)
Then when you start going as a family it is a whole different experience because not only are you having a magical time but you get to experience the magic through their eyes, PRICELESS! Have a WONDERFUL time. I'm trying to plan our trip for next year, but am anxiously awaiting them to release package rates so I can book and start being obsessed about the planning again (the viscious cycle : ) I will definitely report next year too!

I was so glad I was not on my vacation yet, and I admired how you handled your stomach troubles while at WDW. I teach also, and can't believe how I'm wishing my summer away! I can't wait to start my trip in 29 days! Again, THANKS!

Your TR was great!!! We are also have ocd for anything WDW. We bought at SSR in Nov 05. We are going home in Dec this year. Sept next year. We were there before kids on our 1ST ann and have taken our DD's 9 and 6(her b-day is today) twice this year and it will be our 3rd with our young disney kiddies. We LOVE the world and sometimes get funny looks when we say we only want to go on WDW vacations.
We are so glad to see so many other people like us who love WDW and what is stands for. Thanks agian for the DIS and for being out there too!!

I didn't expect to keep reading but after Days 1 and 2, I was hooked! I've been glued since 5 am...not only did the TR keep my interest, but there were some great recommendations! And, your family is absolutely lovely...enjoy this special time, they grow soooo quickly!!

We are heading to Wilderness Lodge (check in 8/19) and I wasn't even aware that they also have bunk beads (like AKL). Would you happen to know if the rooms are all refurbished (or is it still in process)? I'll be traveling with my teen age daughter and niece and that would be such a great set-up for us.

Glad you enjoyed the report and it had you "hooked". I am also glad you learned a few things along the way. Yes, all of the rooms at WL will be refurbished by the time you arrive so ENJOY, the new rooms are GREAT!!!

Glad you enjoyed it and I inspired a first post. We just were in N. KY for our anniversary at the Gateway Bed and Breakfast last night, that was fun.
Enjoy the trip by yourself, when you get back you can plan one w/ the grandkids, there is a lot to do both by yourself and with the little ones. Have a GREAT trip!

Thanks, yes consider yourself lucky you are getting those stomach bugs out of the way now. ENJOY your trip. We have to go much later next year because I don't get out of school until June 15th (YIKES) and then I might as well wait until the July value rates for deluxe, so we're gonna try mid July next summer. Hopefully I can wait that long, I'll be DYING by then. Have a great trip!

Just like yours! I wrote down so many of your suggestions of places to eat and rides to go on and see. My son also loved looking at the pictures. He is a HUGE power ranger fan too so he liked those the best! Quick question - are the power rangers in the parade at MGM? Thanks again for a wonderful report! Your kids are so cute!

So glad you enjoyed it, our kids ages are the same so that is perfect. The Power rangers ARE in the parade. My son loved it because one of them stopped in front of him and posed and "hi fived" him, the highlight of the trip for him I think, that is our families favorite parade. Have a great trip in November!!
