We are travelling to Disney next month (how close does that sound :cool1:).
In the past we have always got the 14 Day ultimate pass which we have used to the maximum, but when I have looked at the 10 day Pass, it is only £169 on park-tickets compared with £225 for the ultimate ticket. We are planning on having 8 days in disney, but will probably go a couple of nights as well, which will make up the 10 days. The other days are US and IOA.

Do you think this is better to do, as it seems much cheaper, or am I missing something?

Where can you get the 10 day tickets from as I can only find one site?

The difference is that park hopping and waterparks are add-ons with the MYW tickets whereas they are included in the 14 day ticket. From the way you described your plans, the 10 day MYW would be more cost effective IF you don't mind either adding hopper options/waterparks if you want one or either of these options (you would then need to determine whether it is still good value) or if you just don't usually make much use of hopping and / or waterparks, and are content to forgo this altogether.

One thing to keep in mind is that you are going in April and I am assuming here that it is over Easter time. If you are staying onsite and you use magic hours, you definitely want the hopper option. If you are offsite or don't usually use EMH, then you can pick your park for the day and nothing is lost.

It depends on how you structure your days.

Oh and Pegasus updated the Ticket thread so it is on the first page here somewhere. :)

We actually go on the 27th which is the week after Easter. We only plan to go to one water park and the MK at night, but I have counted these as 2 days.
We are staying off site so no EMH hours for us...

By what you have said, you would be better off going forn the magic your way ticket. we also have had the 14 day ultimate, but last year we got the 7 day myw as it was better for us as i know we wouldnt use 14 days of our hols visiting disney parks

Can you use one of the days at the water parks, on the site it just says the days are for MK, AK, HS and Ep, but I am planning on going to BB one day and would use one of the 10 days for BB.

Thanks for the replies.

Ifyou get the myw base ticket its only for the theme parks, myw+ is an add on for waterparks etc

10 day MYW $279.03 (£174) + 1 water park day $48.99 (£31) Total £205
1 park 1 day no hopping.

10 day with 10 extras (water parks & DQ etc) $336.54 (£210)
Can do park and an extra in same day but no park hopping.

Possible discounts off these if bought thru an agent, these are gate prices incl tax.

14 day Ultimate £219, hop, water parks, Disney Quest any option you want.

To me its worth the extra few £ for the Ultimates but not for others.

We've used the 10 day MYW tickets in 2009 and will again this year.

We used the UK 14 day ultimate tickets in 2010 as we had to for the OKW free dining deal.

If you are not bothered about waterparks or hopping then the MYW are fine. The £55 each a ticket I save will buy us our Seaworld tickets.

We do 2 days each park and 1 night fantasmic and 1 free choice (probably MK).

Over 14 days that is enough for us.

If you add the water parks that is $50 and hopping another $50 so UK ticket is a better deal.

Bought our 2009 ones from undercover tourist and real tickets came quickly. They are not the cheapest at the moment though. The MYW tickets tend to go up in August by a few $ eash year, so buy before August.

We didn't hop even with the UK tickets last year and whilst we enjoyed the waterparks, fancy doing seaworld instead this year.

The MYW tickets are what US visitors use but nothing to stop ukers using them if it suits better.
