10% AP refund by mail

Just wondering if anyone has actually gotten their 10% back yet if applying by mail. We sent in my son't AP and all the required items almost 2 weeks ago. The email stated and also the CM that we would have it back within 2 weeks. Just wondering. Thanks

In the first post. I guess WDW realized that some may have purchased an new AP, like my son on May 2, without ever receiving the information on the promotion. My son purchased a new AP on May 2 with my husband and myself right there. The CM knew we had APs and never once mentioned the promotion. I found out when we got back home on these boards. I called WDW a few times (the ticket area) and NO ONE even knew of the offer-weird. Anyway, on May 10, I saw that the first post was updated to show an email address to write to if you wouldn't be back before July 31. I emailed and the next day WDW called me and told us what to do. YOu do have to contact WDW, they will send you an email with the instructions they tell you over the phone, you have to print the email, send the original AP and copies of the receipts as well as the pass along pass. We did this on May 11 and are waiting for the AP to be returned (they said within 2 weeks the 10% refund and a new AP. I don't know why the new pass maybe to show it was discounted, who knows)

So if anyone is in the same postion of not returning and purchasing a new AP look to the first post for the email address.
 
Just as an update. I guess not many were interested in this but we did receive the 10% (giftcard, that's how the AP was orig pd for) refund in the form of a gift card yesterday in the mail. It took a little over 2 weeks but there was a holiday in there so that may have contributed to the delay. The AP, a new one, was returned but it is noted on the AP that it was by way of a referral. Hopefully I will receive the $25 gift card as I whould in Aug. Just to let anyone that may have purchased a new AP without knowing of the promotion (My son bought a new AP on MAY 2 and we were current AP holders, unaware of the 10% promo at the time, Mickey Monitor not received until May 11 and no one at WDW mentioned the promo at time of purchase) I guess this probably didn't happen that often but just for those that may have purchased an AP unknowingly of the promo, you can receive the 10% back in the mail even though it states in the Q&A that you must go to WDW Guest Relations to receive the refund.

Let me see if I understand correctly. I can order by mail, until July 31 a new AP? How do I do this? I will not be going to WDW until Dec. and would like to purchase AP if I can get the 10%.
Someone mentioned e-mail address to write, but don't know where to find it.

No. You have to have had purchsed the AP at WDW. My son purchased an AP at MK on May 2. We, my husband and I, were current AP holders. We hadn't received the offer in the mail as of May 2 so were unaware of the offer. When my son purchased his new AP at WDW on May 2, the CM knew we had APs (we were with him) NO one mentioned the 10% offer at the time. Upon returning home I found out about the 10% off on these boards. When I called WDW at first no one was aware of teh promotion!! Finally on May 10, I saw in Cheshire Figments first post that if you purchased the pass without the passalong pass (due to nonreceipt of them in time) you could email WDW for a refund by mail if you were not visiting again prior to July 31. So this mail refund is really, I guess, only for those unaware of the offer at the time of purchase (due to non receipt of the offer) That's all that I know who it's available to . It has nothing to do with what you are asking about. TO qualify for the 10% you must purchase the AP at WDW with the coupon.

WE mailed ours on May 12th ( I believe) and received it back yesterday. Yes, our experience ended up running smoothly once the correct people were available at WDW to contact. (the first few times I called the ticket area in regard to this NO ONE even knew of the offer, it was a little scary since it was already the 8th of May, but once the email was posted here on this site, no problem)
