Look what I just found on the magnet thread!!! I am soooo excited and it makes it seem so real and so much closer. I can not wait. I can make my ressies for the 9/27 this week end and for this one the following week end.

Lois, that is so cool! I want one, lol.

Lori P. :)

If you go over the the Magnet thread on the main cruise forum I am sure Brooklyn would be happy to personalize one for you. There are many other who will personalize graphics for others who just do not have the needed skills They are all awesome.

I must have been on the same thread the same time as Lois (great minds do think alike ::yes:: ) & Brooklyn was able to customize one for Chris and I, too! I spent most of my day today going over pages and pages of discussions about door magnets & designs! It was actually alot of fun. Some nice Dis'ers were able to personalize some graphics for me. Just like Lois said before, this makes it seem so real and that much closer!! If you haven't gone over there yet, check out the cruise graphics threads.

Yes, great mind do think alike and we are dining together too! I love that thread and spend some time there almost day. Also spend time at the picture of the day thread.

One day closer and still counting!!!!

Hey guys! I found this one on the graphics thread a couple of weeks ago that Brooklyn had already made for our cruise:

Warning before you look at that thread if you haven't already: It is highly addictive! So many great images, so little magnetized paper! :rotfl2:

Also, I saw this pic in photobucket and thought I would post it. It is of all ten of us that will be going.

I am sadly enjoying my final hours of being 36. Yes, tomorrow is the dreaded day. I am finally going to use a gift certificate that two of my students gave me in May 2007 for a massage and facial. It's my first facial, so I'm pretty excited.

On a much more serious note, please be in prayer for one of my very best friends Michelle and her son Jack. They, along with her other son Sam, have MD. Michelle has already gone completely deaf in one ear and is losing hearing in her other. She had a significant drop today. Also, Jack (who is 10 and had a pacemaker put in this year) was hit in the ear at the pool today. His eardrum burst, and he has a triangular tear behind the ear drum. He lost hearing in that ear. They don't know if it will come back or not yet. They are seeing a specialist tomorrow. The other son, Sam, has lesions growing throughout his brain which are causing seizures and memory loss. I just don't know how much more the family can take.

Thanks friends!
Ginger

Ginger,

Have a "Wonder"ful, "Magic"al Birthday tomorrow! This is for you:
party: :bday: party:

I'll be praying for that poor family.

I'll be incognito this weekend as we have our 48th annual Blackmon Family Reunion! Woohoo! We always have so much fun!

Haven't really looked into the shore excursions. Steve and I will probably fo something on GC that will allow us to explore the island as the last time we were there, we did the Stingray City and didn't get a close up look at the island itself.

Cozumel being my least favorite stops of all is still in the air.

Hoping we all have success in booking our Palo Brunch ressies!

Happy B'day Ginger!

We will definitely remember your friend and her family in our prayers.

This is just a reminder to us all, especially with us traveling out of the country in a few months. Two of our dearest friends left yesterday for Italy for a week. They had only been in the country a couple of hours and the husband had his wallet stolen. He had his driver's license, a govt work ID, a couple of credit cards, and $500 worth of Euros taken. Thankfully, his wife had a credit card with her that he did not, as well as the rest of their cash they had taken with them. This trip is to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary. He had his wallet in his front pocket, on top of everything. By the time he had cancelled his first credit card, someone had already charged rail tickets on it. Just shows you can never be too careful. Thankfully, his passport was in his other pocket. They went to the police and they issued a certificate saying his id had been stolen. This is suppose to help him when they get ready to leave the country next week.

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday. We are in the middle of attending Vacation Bible School. This is one of the highlights of the summer for my boys.

That is exactly the reason that we split our money up when we travel. I take $60 or so, Wynn takes $60 or so, and the rest stays in the hotel room safe. Our credit cards stay in the safe unless we have to have them. I am terrified of something happening to my money, as we use the credit cards as little as possible.

Good Morning all,
If anyone is interested, I have the link for the Printable Versions of the Lime Green Mickey Heads and I also have the Mickey Ears/Minnie Bow that go around your room number.
I am thinking of printing out a meduim sized LGMH to put my DIS name on for my Cabin door. :disrocks:
I already have the Mickey ears from my prior cruise!
PM me if you would like the links.
Have a great Wednesday everyone!! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GINGER!!

Happy Birthday Ginger. It really sounds like your friend has much to cope with and I will keep both her and her boys in prayer. We lost my sister last September at age 44 years. She had MS and many other issues. I do not believe it was the MS that took her but her unwillingness to want to live. From the time she was told she had MS all she talked about was how she was dieing not living with the disease It is sad but I am sure she is finnally at peace. God works in ways we do not always understand. Lois

I actually printed my door decorations a month ago. Can you tell I'm ready for this cruise?

I have the Mickey ears and I think they're so cute but would you send me the Minnie bow? Thanks!

I printed a map/picture of each stop along with the flag of their country and will change it out the night before we get to each port. And, of course, I have my pirate stuff that I use each trip. There was a thread a few months ago that stated that some people thought it looked tacky to have that "junk" on the door. However, after trying to unlock someone elses door one time, I find it to be very necessary! Everyone's entitled to their opinion. They have my permission not to look at my door as they pass!:rolleyes1

I love the pics of the "junk" all over the doors! I haven't done any magnets yet, but do have some ideas. I think I am going to let the kids pick some Disney scrapbooking stickers at Michael's, and decorate their own magnets. They both love crafty projects, and it will help get them excited. I will have our "Magic"al buccaneer graphic, a pirate magnet, and a birthday magnet for Avery. And quite a few more I am sure!! I think I will also get some window clings and let the kids decorate the verandah door.

Is anyone planning to do surprise baskets for your stateroom? I have beach backpacks (the kind with the mesh bottom) for each of the kids. I found Disney sand molds at Walgreens, T-shirt and straw cup on disneyshopping.com and pirate ears on ebay to go in them. I am still planning to get a disposable camera, binoculars, and a DCL pin to go in them. Any other suggestions? The challenge will be getting them into a carry-on without the kids noticing, and get them put out in our room.

For those that are interested, I also came across (here on the DIS) more cabin number decorations:

-Princess Crown
-Pirate Hat
-Sorcerer Mickey Hat

PM me your email address and I can send them to you!
Have a great Thursday everyone.

JW

DH and I went to HD today and I "liberated" some Mickey Head Paint Chips. :rolleyes1
I have many extras-does anyone need any for their door decorations??
Let me know and I'll be happy to send you some!

Jacquelyn

I love to get those in funky colors to use as bookmarks. It makes me so happy to open a book and my Mickey head falls out! :thumbsup2

I been busy today working on my door magnets. Unfortuneately, I am computer challenged, and do not know how to upload my file to photobucket and share it. I used Printmaster, and it saves the files as .sig files. If anyone knows how to convert it, please let me know!

Another day closer and still counting!!! Just a little more than a week before we book our excrusions and Palo. I can't wait. Lois

Happy Saturday everyone. We made it through another week - and one week closer! Raining here and I think it will off and on all day. Drat - because I need to go to the grocery store.

How is everyone's excursion planning going? Who sent off for a price list for mini golf in Cozumel (sorry, I forget, I just remember reading someone did)? Did you get a response? Just looked like it would be fun. I will go over the the Cruise Critic board and report back any findings.

Well, the campers will be home around lunchtime - complete with 6 loads of laundry. Funny how they don't know how to use the washer.

Enjoy your day!

We can book our excrusions next Saturday night/Sunday Morning. We a just few hours over one week away. Lois
