Going to try to see the 10:30 Fantasmic show on May 4. I don't expect huge crowds in early May, and since it is the later show, I am hopeful it won't be insane to find a spot. After a long day at that time of night I think we will be happy to park it and wait the hour for the show. My question is this. Since there is a 9 p.m. show, and a 9:25 RDCT fireworks, WHEN will the crowd around ROM disperse to the point of being able to fight our way into a decent spot? We would of course love to sit at the edge. We will have three small kids with us (7-8-9) and standing will be "not good."

I don't know where the best place to be is in order to get to one of these spaces quickly after the first show is over. I'm almost thinking being back at Splash and Critter Corner and coming in from the back would be best. ??? I worry about the giganto crowd trying to leave when we're trying to go in, the craziness of the hub with the fireworks, etc.

Anyone been there, done that, and can give me advice? Should we shell out the bucks for the dessert seating, even for the 10:30 show? HELP!!

Yep, I've done that just like you mentioned. If you can hang out and go on HM, Splash, Pooh or Pirates during the first show, then position yourself back by the exit of HM (there are benches all along the wall), when the first show leaves, you can just walk right up and get a primo spot for the 10:30 showing. The first show will be over at 9:20 and then people will hang for the fireworks, which won't be over until about 9:40. That gives you about 35-40 minutes of waiting for the second show of F! once you've found your spot -- not bad!

Another great way to do this is by catching the train over to NOS sometime between 9 and 9:30. It drops you off right there without having to wade through the crowds around the Rivers of America.

HTH!

Perfect! Thanks for confirming my thoughts as being possible. I like the train option as well!!

We always do it this way. Wait until the first show is ending, zoom in and get our front spot. It's a lot less of a wait then waiting for the first show! Works every time! :)

If I am hanging around the Fantasmic viewing area, what kind of view will I have for the RDCT fireworks? We have seen the fireworks before but this time my hubby wants to bring a tripod so he can get better pictures. Is it possible to watch the fireworks from the hub and then get over to the Fantasmic area or will we be like salmon swimming upstream with a MAJOR undertow? I think we could do it other than we will be dragging a 5 yr old with us....we could lose him I'm afraid...he's not too good at keeping up unless it's something he wants to do heh, heh! Anybody else have one of those? ;)
