Hello! First time cruisers AND first family vacation with our young kiddos! Excited and nervous. Was hoping maybe someone has some advice. My youngest will turn 2 on Halloween, which we are excited to celebrate on the ship with all of you, but it does pose some transportation questions. We will use a carseat for the flights and car rides, but once on the boat we won't need it, would they let us check it during the cruise and pick up as disembarkment? Or would we be required to store it in our room the whole time? And if so, is there enough room for it somewhere out of the way, since we will also have a 4 year old and a pack and play?
Also any airport or Miami transportation tips/ideas with little kids would be greatly appreciated. Lots to figure out, but I am so ready for this vacation! Thanks in advance.

I think you will have to store the car seat in your room. The bathtub is a good spot when not in use. We use Dizney for transfers. My DD is 5, but was not quite 2 on our first Disney cruise. She enjoyed the splash area, no pools unless potty trained (no swim diapers in pools) and open house in the kids club. Feel free to ask any questions.

As we have had a couple of people state an interest I will start off the FE list.
Due to the new rules on here the FE has to be run entirely on disboards and not linked elsewhere, also people should only share as much personal information as they are comfortable with. So I propose to keep a simple, no fuss list that I will keep updated within this post.

If you are interested in joining the FE we just need to know how many people (adults/children) are in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving.

Any other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favourite characters etc is upto you.

Cabin numbers can be added nearer to the sailing date.

FE gifts are entirely up to the givers discretion with regards to value, whether they are individual or cabin gifts, or if you give one gift per cruise or per day.

Closing date for sign up is October 1st 2015.

It would be fun to plan a meet on the first day in one of the family friendly lounges. Might be fun to have name tags with our Dis "handles" for the meet. I would be willing to make them unless someone else would like to.

JoyB-UK-- are you planned to ask each family in the FE group share some info/requests. For example, no candy (family with diabetic kiddo), no alcohol or allergies. And, maybe some other questions like favorite characters... fab5, princesses, heroes, villains, or etc. I did a google search for "fish extender survey" and found several good examples.

I have most of my FE gifts made/purchased and I am so excited to start packaging them.

Hi, I'm not sure if there is a way to add an excel attachment. I have tried playing around with it but couldn't find a way. My plan for the FE was to add the list as a photo in private messages. Everything other than photos I have tried to upload or attach seems to be incompatible.

Holly I asked people if they had any special requests and that is as far as I am going with it. I said from the off it would be a simple list, not something that has to be organised with military precision. No one has come back to note any allergies and the only request was from Henlady that her grandson doesn't want anything Frozen themed.
If you need to know anything specific so that can tailor your gifts then please message them directly.

Yikes, I hope I didn't offend you with my questions/suggestions. I'm fine with going simple. I'm just excited about the FE and cruise in general. We are only able to go on a cruise once every 5 years or so. The wait is killing me.

Aylinb....this being your first Disney cruise you may not realize that when someone graciously steps forward to handle the FE group, they are the one who sets up distributing information. Said information is not generally posted for everyone to see , as in those not participating in the FE groups as a matter of privacy. JoyB-UK has been doing an excellent job of this. Please allow her to continue. If anyone wants to set up a meet and greet that would be great, but individuals information is not needed for that. A site and time is set and whoever wants to show up does.

This was actually my suggestion not Aylinb. I apologize if I over stepped on suggesting name tags. On our last cruise (5 years ago) I became friends with some of the people in our FE group and still keep in touch with them today through Facebook, email, etc. Its been a very positive experience because we all have Disney in common. (no ill intentions)

I will step back and let the more seasoned Disney travelers take over since that seems to be best.
