10/28/15 - 4nt. Halloween Magic Double Dip from Miami

We definitely want to do FE gifts! In fact I just finalized what our gifts are going to be this weekend and am so excited. That said, I would really, really prefer to be in a small group. I want the experience of FE, and I enjoy connecting with other cruisers. However, the practicalities and total cost involved have sunk in a little and being in a smaller group would make positive difference for our family. :flower3:

Definitely still interested. Robin (F) and Kevin (M), both in our early 40s.

We'd like to join both lists. We did a very large FE the first time and a very small FE the second time and kind of felt like we were missing out doing the smaller one....

Thank you both for replying your requests have been noted.

I heard that some cruises have a brunch on the Nassau day so we might be lucky.
FE NEWS
I'm going to start and get a bit more organised with the FE stuff and figure it might take ages for everyone to get back to me. So, I need to know who wants to do a small group. (10 ish cabins) and who would like a larger group and be on 2 groups? (or more if we get a later rush). Once I get the information back I can split the list and everyone can start getting their things organised.

1. Everyone on the FE please reconfirm your interest

2. Let me know if you want to join one list of approx 10 cabins or be on both lists and do everyone.

Thank you in advance.

Tough question depending on how big the group gets... I guess I'll say big group assuming the big group won't go over 20 cabins.
Thanks!

If I put you in 2 groups there won't be more than 20 cabins as some people in the second group will also be in the first.

Joy,

we haven't decided yet on the FE. If we do join in, we'd prefer a small group. Will let you know soon. Thanks for organizing.

And now for some photos of the AFT balconies. I only have 3 which isn't much and I'm not sure which rooms these are: But I am standing on the level of Cabanas.

Thanks for replying Henlady and Megan.

The NFL schedule is out and the Dolphins are not playing that Sunday we disembark so at least now I can start making some solid plans for post cruise. The football game will have to keep for another time.

It's Cinco de Mayo. Let's eat.
Food is in abundance on the Magic!

Lunch is served the moment you step on the ship. We chose Cabanas.

Hi, thanks for joining the FE. I have added you to the list. Would you like to be in a group of 10 cabins or would you prefer a larger group?

Can the other members of the FE who haven't been in touch recently let me know their preferences for either a large or small group? I would like to start splitting the group so that those who only want 10 cabins know who they are with. Thank you to everyone who has already replied.

Looks like our itinerary changes a bit. Noticed these new times online today when I went to prepay for gratuities:

  • Castaway Cay 8:30 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
  • Nassau 7:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
  • Castaway Cay 12:00 p.m. - 5:45 p.m.

I am so on the fence about whether to take a shuttle to the airport (FLL) or do car rental. I have a car rented from Alamo, MIA to FLL for $60.10 and the shuttle would coast $78 through SAS. Any opinions, please?:thanks:

Or flight is at 1:05 pm, if that matters.

That noon arrival for the second castaway cay day keeps changing. it was noon when that stop was originally key west, then stayed noon for a while after CC was substituted, then went to 8:30, and i guess now back to noon. does anyone know how long it takes to get between CC and nassau? i suspect if we really leave nassau at 3:45, we should be able to get to CC in the morning.

i for one wouldn't mind a late arrival. i usually don't head onto CC until about noon, anyway, and i bet it'll be easier to get a cabana if our time there is short, as fewer people will be willing to cough up the money.

It is very close. We have left Nassau at 2 AM a few times and have arrived at CC by 9:30 (they stay at 2 AM every few weeks to give the crew time off the ship). Nassau is only 71 miles away from CC (62 nautical miles, I had to look it up, haha! :) ). I have no idea why we would get to CC so late. I am going to call in a few weeks to do our table request, so I will ask then why it keeps changing.
