10/27 2012 A little Halloween MAGIC!

I wanted to reach out to anyone who may not be on Facebook. We are late dining and would love to link up dining with others who maybe interested. Our kids are not cruising with us this time. So far, another couple is joining us. One of my best dining experiences on DCL was with a group of 12 cruisers ( a mix of couples, single travelers, 3 friends traveling together and a mom with her precious 4yr old on a mother daughter trip. We just got back from the same cruise last week, but my DH is going to be gone for 6 months and we are trying to have as much fun quality family time before he leaves. I also just got off on Saturday. Had an amazing time!! It was sad to leave, but knowing I am going back in 3 weeks makes it so much better.

We will be sans children this time, but are participating in the FE exchange again.

We had a great time! Loved every minute, I'm a travel agent and the price is really good but I'm debating if we should save toward a different vacation for when he gets home or just go for it now, lol!

If you look at post 198 in this thread, you will be able to access the googledocs spreadsheet that lists the people participating in this thread's FE - there is also a facebook page for this sailing and the link is in this thread as well - I'm not certain as to which posting though!

Hi everyone. Ok so I've been putting together the FE gifts. And it dawned on me, that since Halloween will be celebrated there, I figured tons of us would be giving out candy..
Can you guys maybe let me know how many of us in group 1 are actually giving out candy. So that way maybe I don't spend too much on candy and put in something a bit more creative or fun... Even though for this time of year, the more candy the merrier.

also, is anyone doing just one nice cabin gift, or daily gifts or just kids. i'm clueless on how many to make.

Yay!! We'll be joining all of you! DH and I just booked this trip for us and our 2 girls (4 and 10months). It's so last minute I'm a bit overwhelmed trying to plan our packing and shore excursions! We were on the Fantasy last May though, so I at least have an idea where to start with the packing.

We were supposed to be on a 3night Dream cruise in November, just DH and I for our 10th Anniversary, but our babysitters (grandparents) cancelled on us, so we had to figure out something else. Since we are in Texas, a trip out of Galveston made sense.

Anyways, HI!!! Looking forward to catching up and getting acquainted!

We will be giving out a gift for each person in the cabin, but not candy and not daily gifts. I haven't participated in an FE before, but from what I understand you can do whatever you'd like: you can do a gift for the cabin if you'd like or individual gifts of any type - candy included!

Due to safety concerns around the spreadsheet containing not only stateroom numbers but children's names & ages (plus in many cases, a last name can be figured out from either the email address or DISBoard user name), I am changing the URL and only publishing it via Facebook and email. I have emailed the new URL to the email address you put down when you originally signed up from the group -- this should appear as coming from price.joye@gmail.com. If you haven't received it, please let me know and what email address you would prefer.

The link will still be available on the Facebook group, as it is a closed group.

If you haven't come to join us on Facebook, I highly encourage it--we have a lively discussion group there too!

(I have removed children's names and stateroom numbers from the original signup spreadsheet as well--I didn't own it on Google, so it still exists, but I put a note in it to direct people to email me if they need the info.)

I'm sorry if this seems over-protective, but the more I think about it, the more uneasy it made me to think that anyone random someone happening across the link on the DISBoards would have access to such detailed information.

I know some of you are going to Tropicante in Costa Maya, but I just wanted to offer an alternative if you are interested in a nice, QUIET beach with AMAZING steak, pork, chicken and fish tacos.

We were in Costa Maya last week and absolutely loved Maya Chan Beach. They offer special rates for Disney Magic guests. Beach is well groomed, drinks are great and plentiful, service is wonderful, WiFi is reliable, transportation is included, and the tacos are AMAZING (so good I said it again!).

Last week Captain Robert allowed up to stay in port until 11:15 pm, so we stayed a bit later. We will be going back on the 31st, so if anyone is interested in a quiet beach as an alternative to Tropicante (which is a great beach in itself), email Maya Chan and inquire about the Disney Magic rates. **I have only been there once and no, I do not receive any referral for this. I just want this beach to continue to succeed and grow so that it will be there when I go back!
