10/27 2012 A little Halloween MAGIC!

I am also wondering about shuttles. We just booked this cruise 2 weeks ago and are super excited. Our kids are 11, 9, and 5. We were going to keep it a secret, but decided to tell them since they will be missing school and we'll have to tell their teachers in advance. We have been to Disneyland and Disneyworld several times, but this is our first cruise! We are flying into Hobby on friday and staying at the hilton by the airport. I don't have a shuttle booked yet and I am trying to see what our options are. My understanding was that Disney only offered a shuttle from IAH airport. Does anyone have a reccomendation for a company to use? Thanks!

this is incorrect per Dreams Unlimited travel agent assisting us- we have DCL bus transfer booked from Hobby- both ways but we are cancelling our hobby to port transfer since we have a rental car- but we will be taking the DCL transfers back from the ship

do you know what the price is for a disney shuttle from hobby? The agent we are working with said that Disney only offered one from IAH...or who do I call to find out?

Anyone else see the webcams showing the Magicin Galveston. It was so exciting to see the ship finally there!!! It was sad seeing her leave port without me though! Can't wait till it's our turn!!!:jumping1:party:

I had a chance to see her live! I posted some photos on our FB page. We spent the whole day there, first for the commissioning of the USS Ft Worth, and then stayed to watch her sail out at 5pm. It was a great day, though we were in the sun most of the day for the service and waiting several hours to tour the navy ship. It reached 90 degrees yesterday which is normal for here. For those staying in Galveston, we tried out a few restaurants at Pier 21. We had lunch at the Olympia which is connected to the Harbor House Hotel. Lots of good seafood entrees as well as a Greek menu. We had dinner at Fishermans Wharf, which again had an extensive seafood menu. If you are flying into Houston early enough to enjoy any sightseeing, I would recommend going to Galveston. Much to see and do and just enjoy the atmosphere! We haven't been down there in years even though we are only 1 1/4 hours away. That is going to change, ESP on Saturdays when I get to see that beautiful ship! :goodvibes

Hello everyone, my name is Mike and my family and I are very excited to be on this cruise! We just signed up for the cruise a few weeks ago after we found a great Military discount we just couldn't refuse. I just found this forum the other day and now we are even more excited.

We have myself, DW Lynn, and three children DD 16, DD 11 & DS 6. Our oldest will be celebrating her 16th birthday just before we get onboard. That is the reason I was looking for a cruise in the first place.

We are huge Disney fans, but this will only be our second cruise. We had never heard of the FE, but are now very much looking forward to that as well. Both my wife and I have sent requests to join the FaceBook page. Looking forward to meeting everyone in a few weeks!

Hi where do you live ?

We are thinking of doing one of the dolphin swim shore excursions. Has anyone done one before that they recommend? It looks like there are several options available. Thanks!

We are also going on military rates! Such an awesome deal! Our family is SO excited! When we told our kids, they went crazy with excitement!

Our kids did the Royal Dolphin swim at Chankanaab in Cozumel in 2009. I booked it directly from their website. After, we stayed to swim and snorkel. They have some Replicas of Mayan ruins there and a lagoon, as well as a manatee show. This cruise, it will be only DH and I. The kids can't miss a week of high school. Don't feel sorry for them though, we are taking them on the Dec 21st Christmas cruise! :goodvibes

I just saw the Dec 21 cruise come up for the Military discount. Very tempting. Maybe we'll join you!

We couldn't pass it up! I actually spotted the rates last week by plugging in the code and booked immediately! I was thinking MTO rates would sell out quickly as I have never seen them for a Christmas cruise before! Can't believe MTO rates are still showing for this Halloween cruise (though all the cat 4's are gone).
If you are seriously thinking of going over Christmas, don't wait too long to book. Hope you join us! :)

REMINDER! The FE group participation cutoff is tomorrow (9/27)!! If you have been putting off signing up, please go do so NOW!! You can do this by adding yourself (and those traveling with you) to this spreadsheet:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...ObkxZMFE#gid=0

NEW! Also, since some people have mentioned that they want to participate in more than one group, please indicate that in the column I've added.

At the moment, we have 30 participating cabins, which we will split into two groups.

Thanks,
joye

It's official, the FE list is closed!

We'll be working on the group division and hope to have the lists out to everyone in a couple of days. Deck maps will follow later.

If you've found out your stateroom number since last updating the spreadsheet, please email it to me (price.joye@gmail.com) so we can get you on the maps.

There are 30 staterooms participating with a total of 97 people. Four staterooms wish to be in both groups, which means each group will contain 17 staterooms; if this presents a problem (as originally we were going to have groups with 15 staterooms), please let me know (again, at price.joye@gmail.com). We are going to attempt to balance not just by age, but by total number of participants as well.

Thank you, and this is going to be so much fun!!
