we have been changed at the port check in before (and I had checked the night before flying out)

although for this cruise seems like most are getting assigned now :)

wishes for you!pixiedust:

I am so excited for this cruise! We'll be celebrating our honeymoon- my first DCL sailing and John's first cruise ever!
Extra bonus is that we get to dress up twice (Pirate Night and Halloween).

We're in! It's just DH and I. Very excited for the trip! We've done 4 day and 5 day DCL cruises but never a 7 day. Looking forward to being disconnected from the interwebs for 7 whole days :lmao:

Ok, very important question here. What the heck is everyone wearing for formal night? The last time I had a long gown on was at my wedding. That's also the last time DH had a tux on. I'm really dying to play dress up. Anyone else? I need ideas!

Welcome!

As far as formal night goes... most dress up but I must admit, I have only seen a handful in tuxes and ballgowns. Its mainly nice dresses and suits. I have been on 5 DCL 7 night cruises and 3 of the others and they have all been very similar. However, do what makes you happy and if getting all dolled up gets you excited I say go for it! :goodvibes

We're in!

:cheer2: Welcome! :cheer2:

We're playing dress up. Tux for me, gown for DW, kids in whatever we can convince them to wear. I would say less than half were black tie on my last cruise.

I've never packed a tux in my luggage, only rented, I hope the garment services are available on the first night if it needs to be steamed.

The tux may also play a role in a disturbingly odd Halloween costume :)

I'm a huge fan of playing dress-up. I think I'm going to wear a dress that I wore recently to an evening wedding. I don't want to have to bother with a tux for my fiance- so I'm not going too formal... but it's definitely more on the "semi formal" end of things.

The kids will wear tuxes, no ball gown for me, but nice evening dress, and suit for DH.
We have 3 of 5 costumes for us, still working on costume for one kid

We're dressing up, but by a lot of people's standards, it might not be considered dressy. That's not very helpful, is it?:clown:

It wasn't long ago that dressing up for me meant a shirt with a collar...:rotfl2:

(yes, I am totally cracking myself up!)

We will be on this cruise! Family of 15 ranging in age from 6 to 62! Love to meet up with you guys.

Stateroom 6147! Stop by and get your Trick or Treat from my Fish Extender!!
My name is Sammie, I am the matriarch of our family of 15 on this cruise! You will see me puttering around on my ECV. Come up and say HELLO!!

Oh! We weren't going to do fe because we have so much going on with wedding planning beforehand- and I've been feeling like we're missing out... But Sammie, you have inspired me to do Halloween treats for anybody who wants one. Thank you!

Well KatyInNeverland, so glad I inspired you! I would not blame you however since your on your honeymoon if you skipped the FE. What cabin are you in so I can come by for a treat? If you get time that is! LOLpixiedust:

Some have been asking about FE splits and cutoff. Just to clarify:

We'll cut off the list on Sept. 27. At that time, if the list has greater than fifteen participating cabins, we'll split as necessary. If we split, anyone who wishes to be in more than one group is certainly welcome to. No group will have more than fifteen participating cabins, however.

If someone wishes to join after Sept. 27, they are welcome to. However, it will be with the caveat that they may not receive gifts from everyone in their group, as many will have already finished their FE preparations.

As I mentioned before, I will send out floor plans with participating cabins indicated approximately 2 weeks prior to sailing.

Again, you can access the FE participant list here:

Hope this clarifies any questions anyone may have had.

Hey Angie. Just curious are you on the Facebook. Definately looks like two groups for the fe.

Angie just posted on Facebook that she'd had to cancel this cruise. Stacey, what about you and me taking it on? We can work out the details this next week and all. What tea ya say? A Project Manager and a Producer...what could go wrong? :yay:
