First off, can I just say that you people crack me up! :rotfl: I haven't posted that much (I feel kind of like the shy kid in the corner who giggles at all the jokes but doesn't really join in!) but I love trying to keep up with your posts! You are all so funny!

if you mean funny looking then thats me.:scared1:
dont be afraid to jump in. these great people put up with my mindless posts all the time and hardly ever complain.:rolleyes1

Rose - I started out the same - I still cant do the eliptical for more than 6 minutes and I too come off panting.

The treadmill - When I first joined the gym last Jan I hadnt run in years...the trainer suggested I try running for 30 seconds followed by 3 minutes of walking to get my breathe back etc....I even found the 30 seconds a struggle to start with:rolleyes1 ... I did this for a while then increased my run time to 35 then 40 seconds etc...I now run 1 minute and walk 1 minute... I can keep this up for about 30 minutes, then I walk witha hill gradient - usually about 6 or 8 for 15 mins, then if I have any energy left I do another 6 minutes run/walk, then a cool down walk.

I'm not fit at all and struggle with a lot of the equipment, but just persevere and you slowly get better. Keep at it girl:thumbsup2

I also find that if I do a leg exercise, follow it up with eg arms - (rower), then stomach then back to legs - it gives that bit of your body time to recouperate before staring again :goodvibes

Some days are better than others too - some days I can only do 20 mins on the dreadmill, other times if I get the right track on the mp3 player I can do longer - music really helps me run to a beat.

Good luck Rose - everyone has to start somewhere.:thumbsup2

Thanks for the advice Karen:thumbsup2

Neil just came home with 12 red roses:lovestruc

Oops! - His prezzie isnt quite so romantic:rolleyes1 - its an LED magnetic torch-thing he wanted for work:rolleyes1 - I hope he appreciates it:confused3

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Different story but same sort of thing....

We were in Menorca - (Ellis' first trip abroad - he turned one while we were there:cutie: ) and the apartments were lovely - big, spacious, spolessly clean etc etc...theres was one problem - there was a bl**dy cricket in the bushes right outside our door every single night for a week:furious:

By day 3 I was ready to do some serious harm to that little Jimini...I got the broom and was whacking hell out of the bush at 1am in the morning:lmao: - I must have looked a right sight muttering "Die bl**dy cricket , die!"

What was worse was our neighbours returned just as I was doing it:rotfl2: :rotfl2: ..I just stopped beating the bush, stood upright and politely said "had a good evening?"...they were in pieces laughing at me:lmao: As they left the man turned round and said "I hope you get the little s*d - he's been keeping us awake too!":rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Sounds like heaven (that is if all four courses are cheesecake of course;) )

:rotfl2: Funny story Karen!
I hate bugs anyway! Kill them all:mad:

But guys love that kind of guy stuff, they know we love flowers and chocolate,
so it'll work out.

You could give him something else romantic;)

Has anyone seen either a random act of kindess on their DCL cruises or an act of pure stupidity & deception that they are willing to share?

as far as random acts of kindness, i saw a few ladies on deck 10 on a windy day and i warned them to be careful because there are a lot of pirates out there watching.:lmao: :lmao:

no really. i saw a red haired lady with large personalities on deck 10 topless
and asked her if she needed any assistance but she said "no thanks",
agef has everything i need.

Brenda, we've got a bottle of Veuve Cliquot (sp) Rose champagne to celebrate tomorrow with:thumbsup2
Yummy!

It's the only thing I splurged on with my tax return, the rest goes to Sean's graduation gift and moving to Florida.

OOOHHH, I'm wondering what the big romantic Cinnamike is getting his wife for VD day?:lovestruc
Can't spoil the secret on here but tell us tomorow how wonderful you were:hug:

I'm taking Bob to Bonefish Grill for dinner tomorrow night.
My treat, and it's big because I HATE SEAFOOD! He'll be in heaven:cloud9:

I've never tried poteen ... but I've read that it's deadly potent (trust the Irish, god blesh 'em).

What the the hell? I say we goferit! :thumbsup2

By the way ... I just spent the better part of my lunch hour researching Vegas and I've found a restaurant that offers a 4-course dessert tasting menu!

We are so there! I think I'm going to call this trip report: Eat! Grow Large With Food!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
The first time I tried it I was in Germany with my cousin who had just returned from County Cork. It took my breath away! They said I turned 9 shades of white and then 10 shades of red. I would do it again in a heartbeat!!!

Yes, Even had Shirley (who make gifts for cruises) mad about it as well, she said it wasn't an old konker working there......They were taken at the Lighthouses when I put them down to give our email address to a couple getting married at the top of the lighthouse..Have pictures of them on my face before going into the gift shop....Trying to do a good deed myself and lost over $300 prescription sunglasses...Really couldn't see well the remaining of the cruise in the sunlight...

Walt :cool1:

I knew you'd have something cool in mind:hug:

Can't wait to hear.

And yup I buy into the whole card thing.
I send them to all my close girlfriends, the funny cards. They love em.
I'm not sure their hubbies even get them cards.

I spent $33 at the Hallmark store.
I bought Bob 5 cards!:lovestruc
I've been buying Hallmark for so long and telling my friends that
"I care enough to send the very best" that now, if I ever don't, they'll
think I don't love them anymore:rotfl:
