10/24/2009 Bash on the Boat - Thread #2 (of 20?)

Jen this is the instructions I used , they were on the fish extender thread.

You need 1/4 yard of fabric, iron interfacing, wide double fold bias tape, and a 3/8" dowel 8" long.

Pockets are 11" X 5 1/2"
Back is 32" X 8"


Cut out backing and pockets then iron on interfacing.
Sew bias tape on top of pocket
pleat once on each side and pin bottom of pocket so that it is 8" wide.
baste, then pin bias tape on bottom and sew on
Pin pockets on backing and sew bottom of pocket to backing
Pin and baste around entire outside of project.
Pin then sew bias tape around outside edge of whole fish extender
fold top over leaving room for you dowel at top and sew along the inside of bias tape down each side to secure.


I didn't put interfacing on the pockets, and I didn't put the pleat in, I just cut the pocket to 8 in. I think the pockets are fine with out it.

story from last week.
my pop tart is a little obsessive compulsive. we were in bed, lights out.
she says "is the door locked.?" i said yes. she gets up anyway to check. then locks the bottom lock and that swing plate on the door. i told her " why dont you put a chair in front of the door too?"
so the next nite while she was in the shower, i put a chair in front of the door. next nite i put 2 chairs stacked on top of each other in front of the door. third nite i put the table in front off the door with the 2 chairs stacked on the table.
needless to say, i got called an ###hole.

robin wants you to post who got kicked off biggest loser last week.

Jackie, the mom on the mom/son team was kicked off. The team with the young women won the weigh in so the mostly male team was forced to vote one off. Jackie had caused some tension with the brothers and was doing some manipulating, so I wasn't surprised that she was the one voted off.

Funny thing....

The "Pirate" writing is a font called Hannibal Lecter. I fell in love with this font about 3 years ago and now I see it EVERYWHERE. I can't open a magazine without seeing it in 1/4 of the ads! I always point it out to Rob and he always says the same thing...I wonder if they know they are using a font called Hannibal Lecter

we were actually talking about changing our wdw trip this xmas to a dcl cruise in early dec. lots of research to do before we make a decision though.

I understand! A fifteen year old boy visiting at church last summer asked who that girl was and how old she is. He was asking about our 12 year old DD. DH was not happy, a little flattered, but not happy. We are just entering this new era!

Are there new rules? I only check in occassionally and I thought fo's, bobs, snot and fluff were required/encouraged.
