Actually no, it's Scottish. My dad's parents were born in Scotland.

My mom was born and raised in Glasgow Scotland, her name was McGregor. Her dad was in WW2 and was a POW for 39 months. In that time her mom remarried and had more kids.

My mom, her dad and her 2 brothers took the boat over to Montreal when she was 16.

Out of my parents and their 5 kids I am the only one who speaks french. I was very smart when I was a kid (what the heck happened eh? ) so they put me in french school so I wouldn't be bored.

I haven't spoken much french since high school so I've lost a lot of it but I can still speak well enough and I understand it perfectly as long as they don't speak a mile-a-minute

Glasgow is a rough and i do mean rough place to grow up Cass,Their our places in Glasgow that make Tikrit or Fallujah look like "Kentucky in spring time" My guess is you got your "i don't take bulls**t" from your dear mothers side.....

ps...Their are also places in Scotland that simply take your breath away and IMHO amongst the most beautiful places on earth.....But don't tell the jocks i said that...

I just heard yesterday that United Airlines is implementing a new policy whereas all passengers are allowed only one piece of checked luggage or pay $25.00/each extra piece for each way. That means for us, we'd have to pay $150.00 (for our three "extra" pieces). This is in addition to paying the $50.00 on each piece of luggage which is over 50 pounds.

We don't fly United, but I'll bet it's only a matter of time until the rest follow suit.

Hoping our Tag Captains choose to have us tag with small, light items. (Hint-hint).

And I always travel with 2 bags whenever I'm going somewhere for a week or more!
Can't pack any other way.

Marina sent some really nice pics again today, this was my favorite. My brother Pete is 17 years younger than me. He was more like a son to me instead of a brother. His father(my step-father) wasn't around much and did very little with him when he was around. Pete was always with me, where ever I went, Pete went. These pics remind so much of Pete when he was this age.
