I have a pic that I'd like to share this morning. Actually, I debated posting it at first, but today is our 2nd daughter BJ's 19th birthday. The pic below was taken the day before BJ passed away at the age of 11 weeks in 1989. This pic is on the inside cover of my Bible.

Happy Birthday Sweet BJ, we miss you very much--Love, Mommy and Daddy

Refrigerator magnets are another good idea...

I liked the variety of surprises that showed up at my cabin, so I think as long as we keep the items small, I'm all for leaving it up to each tagger what they want to give. For example, I know I'm not talented enough myself to make a CD, but I loved the ones I received!

Yep - I agree - leave it to the tagger what they choose :thumbsup2 - the list is just examples of small items Bobbers suggested. I think we all struggled fitting all our fab goodies in the cases last time, but anything smallish goes:thumbsup2

We also should decide if we're just tagging with one small item - ie one cd or one magnet etc....some of the bags we recieved last year were stuffed full of goodies. I know all my little goodies came to half a suitcase on the way out:eek: This year I'll just be tagging with one small item to each cabin - is that what everyone else is planning on doing? I dont want to be the mean one if everyone is going to have a bulging bag and I turn up with one magnet each:rolleyes1 :lmao:

If we keep it small and simple then more people can play so if any newbies join in nearer the time we can hopefully accomodate them and let them "play":goodvibes

My suggestion (since I haven't a clue what I'm going to tag with yet:confused3 ;) ) is to just think about it for the next few months, and we can all be thinking about what we'd like to do.

Feel free to continue to post suggestions as you think of them, and I'll try to keep a list of suggested items/ideas (this helped me on KK1 as I was sort of a latecomer to the game - but it was WELL worth it!)

I am also hoping we'll get to add new cruisers to the list as well, and I don't want to scare them off thinking we've got this all planned out!

See, we all booked SO early that we have WAY too much time to think about this stuff!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Wow, it looks like a busy house here this morning/afternoon. Good morning USAers/Canadians, and good afternoon UKers!

Kristin used to yank her hats off too until we got the ones that tied on. You should've seen her little face when she went for the new hat and couldn't take it off. She used to have this big silly grin on her face when she took them off. All of a sudden the hat stays on and she had such a surprised look. It was hillarious.:lmao:

Yeah, Kira pulls the string ones off too. She's pretty talented at it too  She can't get them off but she can get it off her head :lmao: And yes, LAP is 8:30pm.

Thanks for sharing her picture with us Andy  She's a precious little angel  Happy Birthday BJ :lovestruc

Cass must be behind that one. What with :santa: being on the front page. Heck Xmas is still 10 months away.

The "dust stuff" icon is moved from the front page as well.

Back to the old smilies. ;) I got some pull with the Big Guy

Just in time for this thread to be closed down, I have updated the links in the first post.

However, I'm thinking of putting the link to Cass' site (the one in our logo's) first after the list of DISers on this thread. Is that O.K. Cass?

We're less than 300 posts away now. Should be soon.

Have not requested a certain rotation, and since 10/07 was our first cruise, don't know which is better, so am open for any suggestions.

We don't care what the dining rotation is ... we'll overdress every night just to embarrass everyone. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Just copying this from pg 11 of this thread so it doesnt get lost. Do we need to add the rules to page 1 (or is it already done:rolleyes1 )

All DIStag participants will purchase a small gift from their hometown to give to all taggers. We will receive a spread sheet made up by your's truly, at our first DISmeet (time and place still to be determined). In addition to the spread sheet you will receive some sort of magnet. The list will look something like this:

JLDSMD Jeff Cabin 1234
cntkg1 Nancy Cabin 6576
oybolshoi Brenda Cabin 6580 (I'm STILL not giving up )
LindyLoo Linda Cabin 4321 etc.....

You will start with the person listed directly below your name. Deliver your "gift" and leave the magnet at the top of their cabin door. Should your "gift" be too large to fit in the 'fish mail holder', locate any Stateroom Host/ess and request they take your gift directly into the room. When someone leaves you a gift and the magnet, deliver your surprise and received magnet to the next person on your list-and so on. When you get to the last person 'participating' at the bottom of the page (LindyLoo in our example)...start at the top of the list (JLDSMD). Continue until you get to the person listed above YOUR name.

So if I've still managed to confuse you, this is the skinny of it all...

Jeff takes one of his gifts and his magnet. He tags Nancy's door with the magnet and puts his gift on the 'fish mail holder'. Now he waits until someone tags his door. (In our example LindyLoo would start with Jeff). He will take that new magnet and a new gift and tag Brenda's door. He waits again until he gets tagged and then tags Linda's door and leaves behind a gift.

So this means if we have 20 DISers who want to play tag, we will each have to bring 20 little gifts.

We have all week to play and we'd probably cut it off on Thursday. Any leftover gifts at that point can just be left on fish mail holders without tagging with the magnets.

When we played this on our other cruise the gifts were anything from personalized pencils, bumper stickers, candy, yummy hometown recipes (Yorkshire pudding mmmmm), keychains, playing cards etc.... Most were packed in gift baggies and labeled with the name of the DISer who left it behind.

Karen do you leav gifts so everyone in the room? Say it is a room of 4 would you leave 4 of whatever or just one gift for the room? Am I making sense? Am I still here.....drugs are starting to kick in.

I don't know where you get these ideas about Jason and me. :rolleyes1

Your joking right?....I told the kids before we met last year now behave were going to meet Brenda and her Husband Jason and don't get to close as theirs always a possibility they may eat you if you do.....:rolleyes1

One gift per cabin Shelley, at least that's how we played it the last time I participated.
