8 Days sounds too close!!! I am not done. Just a couple of things to go get at the store but need to wrap. Sent out my cards this morning.
It is cold here. Should warm up to the mid 40s this week. Not too bad though. At least we didn't get any of that winter storm that the north east got.

Christmas traditions....

Going to church on Christmas eve....it's my favorite service of the year. I love singing all the carols.

Watching the Charlie Brown Christmas special - I love it! Rudolph too, the one with Burl Ives.

Waking up to stocking filled by Santa. It's just as much fun now that I'm Santa!:santa:

All ready and cant wait:yay: :yay:

Hurry up Santa:yay: :yay:

Do you watch him on the pc go round the world on xmas eve? We love that site.:goodvibes

No.:sad2: My kids go to thier fathers on Christmas eve every year. I think they like to keep me happy and play along ... they're 13, 12(this past Friday) and 10 (started shaving 3 weeks ago! :scared1: ).

So Misty, what did you think of those COWBOYS yesterday:sad2:
My son was at that game ... birthday present from his BIG brother (Big Brothers/ Big Sisters). He was in the Cowboy end zone ... rooting for the Eagles. He's been an Eagle fan since the Cowboys got rid of Emmitt! He's banished from my house when the Boys play the Eagles! :rotfl2:

They played just as I expected ... poorly!!!

How old is your son??? My son (12) is a huge Eagles fan also. So w/the Packers winning yesterday and the Eagles winning + beating the Cowboys it was a good day at our household.

Misty,

My apologies, I don't have you on the first page. If you're sailing with us, either post or PM me your info and I can update the first page.

Same with anyone else I may have missed. I haven't been following too closely, so I may have missed people. Sorry.

Jeff

PS. Sorry, but I hope the Cowboys lose to the Redskins. Would really like to have them play in Green Bay for the Championship.

This is the middle son. I took him to his first NFL game ever ... Cowboys vs. Eagles ... Emmitt's last home game. He just turned 12 Friday!

I'm hoping to sail with you ... my friends are. I haven't booked yet. I'm like Carrie and Scott ... school was a big issue for us.

Shame on you! The Redskins ... that's a bad word in my house!!! BOO!!!

Are your friends on the DIS? You should invite them over.

I think the other game the Cowboys has is Carolina, but not sure how that game will go. Redskins are in Washington and it is a divisional rival.

Now if the darn Lions could have beat them last week, it would have been the Pack's to lose. :sad2:

Is your son in 6th grade?? mine is in 7th.
hopefully it will work for you to book w/us, when we cruised in Oct, it fell over our Teacher's convention, so the kids only missed 3 days school. In WI you are allowed 10 days to take your kids out of school for vacation/personal reasons, but it does get harder w/all the make up work to be gone for too many days.

They aren't on DIS yet ... I'm working on them. :goodvibes

If the Cowboys will get their minds off Jessica Simpson (what a joke :lmao: :rotfl2: ), maybe they can play some good football!

Yes, he's in 6th. My kids are in private school right now, but I'm not sure by 09 ... the oldest will be in H.S. ... Texas has a law in public school ... no more than 10 days in 6 months ... no matter the reason. I don't want to face truancy court ... and my ex husband!

We tried to stay ahead of the game. I told the school a year in advance. Most teachers worked with us. Trying to give most of the easy stuff before we left. It was the Science fair project and History fair project and English term paper that got us! All of it was due the day we came back. We were able to finish the History project before we left. They missed 8 days because we drove.

I forgot to say before - I thought I'd better warn you all......

Neil is lurking:rotfl2:

I've caught him out a few times........

Our pc is upstairs in one of the spare bedrooms.....

I've gone downstairs into the lounge a couple of times to find Neil on his lappy on the Dis on this thread:lmao:

Caught in the act, redhanded:rotfl:

Stop lurking Neil and post a "hello"

Hiya Neil...what are you looking forward to most over Christmas?

Yes, I go to Midnight Mass with my Mum and Sister in Law and anyone else that's around. Wouldn't miss it.

Here's a question for those who saw my videos on YouTube. I can only submit one video to Light-0-Rama for the contest this year. It's between Jingle Bells and The Main Street Electrical Light Parade. Any preferences? I really like the Jingle Bells one (But I have to admit that the MSELP video looks pretty good.) Thanks!

I loved all the videos. Thanks for sharing.

I think I would go with Jingle Bells for the contest in case any of the judges are thinking it has to be a Christmas song.

Best of luck!:cheer2:

Please share the site we haven't seen that one. We usually go to Philip's parents on Christmas Eve and the kids need something to wind them down to go to bed. We do presents at home on Chrismas AM.
