My turn to ask for some prayers and pixie dust from our friends here.
Al just found out that he is in atrial fibrilation again, which means he has an abnormal heart beat (you should see the EKG they did Wed. evening). He was diagnosed with this almost 3 years ago and in the course of the following year we spent multiple weekends in the hospital to have him started on new meds and have his heart shocked hoping to get it back into a normal rhythym. His heart would cooperate for a few days and always within 2 weeks he would be back into atrial fib. So we moved on to a newer invasive procedure called a cardiac ablation and that has worked for about a year and a half. He and I are very "bummed" as he puts it. We won't know for sure what they are going to want to do until next Wed. when he sees the Electrophysiologist but as much as he doesn't want to go through the ablation again that seems to be what his internest thinks will happen. I am hoping that by some miracle when he goes in next week his heart will be in a normal rhythym again and this was just a short episode of irregularity. So any extra prayers in our direction would be great about now!
Holy cow Steve! - do you start in January for he following xmas? - thats amazing![]()

I think the DIS doesn't like multi-quoting. Mine was lost again!!
Anywho, Steve, great job on the videos. I like the Sleigh Ride one the best. I watched every one of them. FANTASTIC!!!![]()
Here are the videos that I have posted so far:
Manheim Steamroller's Jingle Bells. I worked like crazy on this one. I figure that from July to October I was working on this one. It turned out great!

Main Street Electrical Light Parade. Awesome. It brings out the Disney Characters and is very lively. Best part: It was really easy to sequence!

Carol of the Bells. Nice and Christmasy. While I listened to it, I knew exactly what to do to sequence this one.

Disney's Sleigh Ride. I wanted at least one of the Disney songs with the characters singing. This one is fun to listen to. Turned out it was somewhat difficult to sequence. I've not been too happy with it. But it does highlight the disney characters in the yard.

Wizards in Winter. Trans-Siberian Orchestra's hit that ignited a firestorm on the internet last year. I had to include it. I can't take credit for the sequencing though, I got the file for free online. It's been a crowd pleaser though.

So I am going to share the events that happened at our school yesterday.
Yesterday morning someone called in a bomb threat to the school district. At first the district didn't know which school it was for as the caller was mumbling. After a little investigating turns out that it was my school that was being threatened. Now this is where the staff and I are po'd about how it was handled. My boss shows up with the PD and goes into the VP's office. Nothing is said to us. She asked me to go to a teachers class and send that teacher to the office, turns out his name was mentioned in the call. They had my clerk listen to the recording to see if she could recognize the voice, and she did as well as another teacher. It turns out that it was one of our students that wasn't at school that day. Still nothing being said, no lock down, no evacuation. We mention that this student had come into the office to ask for homework. The PD has the gall to ask that our staff do a sweep of the front of the school, and my admin says sure! WTHThe students teacher says he will do it, and then when he is out there it dawns on him what he was actually looking for and he turns around and comes back in.
Still we are not on lock down, or evac'd, in fact I as the office manager still didn't know WTH was going on! Finally when there aren't any students in the office my clerks lets me in on what is going on. Then the bomb dogs come, still no action on the admin's part to secure the students and staff. The dog alerted to one thing but nothing was found, still nothing to secure the school. Of course all this is going on and the kids are out playing like it was any other day, and of course they don't know what is going on, in fact 99% of the staff didn't know what was going on until the admin called a meeting after school. When I got home it all sunk in and it also sunk in what could have happened and how I don't feel that it was handled appropriately. Principal sends a call out on our message phone program, stating if she thought for one minute that the kids were in danger, Uh hello if we had been an airport we would have been evac'd. I am just sooooooo mad on how it was handled.

I can't believe that! I teach at a middle school. We are required to have code red practices frequently. We haven't had a threat this year, but the HS did. Students went home immediately, as far as I know.
We're in a very rural area but that really doesn't mean anything. Our code red isn't great but it is all we have now. It even includes how we are supposed to keep our blinds - open or shut. However, we are so poor, we can't even change our door knobs to lock from the inside and/or the outside! We had a media problem with a coach/player this year and were on alert to the possibility of the news station just showing up to dig around and cause problems. They never did but we tried to stay locked up.
Thanks. Yes, I start planning actually in December for the next Christmas. That way I know what I need to be looking for in the after Christmas Sales. Now that I have computerized, I really need to look ahead, because I need to know in July how many controllers that I will need for the next december. That means know exactly how many things that I need to be controlled.
I have been begging for my principal to do lock down drills. I have been there almost 3 years now and we have never done one. I have emailed the principal asking to do them, my VP has mentioned it and nothing. My husband says you are only as good as you are trained. Well if the place catches on fire we are set, as fire drills are state mandated to do monthly. Well when was the last time kids were killed in a school fire, I have never seen one. This week was the first time that I have considered going somewhere else, and it kills me that I am thinking that because I love where I work.
I don't know what Mike is complaining about, he's got some moves!
Hi everyone...
Yep... great party. We closed it down. It wasn't too late though. It was a work night. Started at 6 PM and ended at 10:30 PM.
Good time though. It was just like watching Mike at Rockin Bar D.
All I did was go up to a co-worker's wife and ask her how she got her dh up to fast dance. I then said... Mine won't budge. She said. "Where is he"
I said, "The bald guy sitting over there." And she took off and left me dancing with her husband.
She then went over, took Mike's hand, rubbed his back and said come on. Next thing I knew she was on the dance floor, rubbing up against him and grabbing the back of his thigh.![]()

Then there was the Mike sandwich. Whoa!![]()
Her dh & I were cracking up. In fact, another co-worker got pics. I have to get my hands on those.
They will be posted!![]()

Hello Everyone
Just popping in the say hi.
For all of you that don't know. Scott and I decided that we will not be doing KK2It is to hard for us to plan that far in advance with my mothers health and the split custody of the kids. 09 is our year to take the kids on vacation and we can not count on their mom keeping them for us to go, even though it is what is best for thier schooling.
So at this point in time Scott is trying to plan trips to visit everyone. That way we can work it around school breaks.
