OK I haven't started packing yet :lmao: but I did print off the shore excvursions and some recent Eastern navigators last night at work so that I can start studying them. Of course I was just doing this to be helpful to the radiologist I was working with because she and her family are doing an Eastern in Feb. ;) so I made 2 copies and gave her one.
It has been 7 years since we've done an Eastern so this morning I pulled out our photo album from that trip to show Rachel when she gets home from school. She really doesn't remember the islands too much because she was only six when we cruised that time. It was fun looking through the pictures from that cruise.

Morning Cheryl

We are one step closer to being an official KK2, I got the price quote, and now just looking at cabin options. You off today??

Hi Janice :woohoo: it sounds like you guys are going to make it official soon! Did you get you Castaway Club numbers so that you'll get that $50.00 credit?
Yes I'm off today, just checking in here before I take a nap. I worked second shift yesterday and then I got called-in at 1am and had a hard time falling back asleep after that so I didn't get much sleep last night.

Be sure to book by December 10th for that additional $50 OBC for Castaway Club members.

I just received verification from Dreams this morning that we received that one along with the credit being offered by the travel agency. The OBCs definitely helped me convince Jay to book this cruise .... mochaccinos here we come! :thumbsup2

Morning Ladies.

Cheryl, maybe we should have people who've been on the Eastern before post some pictures up on the thread. I have tons. I'll have to go through and pick the best ones.

Janice, we'll make sure we twist your arm enough to come on the cruise. :thumbsup2

Good morning Brenda

Ohhhh I wish I had a mochaccino now! You talked about them before so I had to try one and was instantly hooked, YUMMY! Rachel loved them too, I'd have to go into the Cove Cafe and get her one, which is a good thing because she had charging privleges this time and if she could have gone in there herself I'd hate to see what our bill would have been :rotfl:

We have some good pictures from our 2005 Eastern that I'd be happy to post once I get home.

I remember the water in St. Martin just took my breath away ... it was the most stunning, clear blue I've ever seen - just gorgeous. :cloud9:

Brenda,

Have you ever gotten over to St. John while in St. Thomas?

It is just beautiful over there as well.

Not sure if I have any of my Eastern pics on the system here at work or not. If not, I can get some up over the weekend.

Morning everyone! One of these days I need to change out of stealth mode. ;)

Cheryl, glad to hear you and Rachel liked the mochaccino! We make them at home sometimes during the summer, but they always taste better on the Magic.

Morning Jeff

Our pictures from that trip are pre-digital camera so I'll need Al or Rachel to help me scan them in to post them. We don't have a ton from the islands but we do have some that I could post, we have a lot of Rachel with the characters and around the ship. It was fun looking back to our first cruise, the one that we had to beg Al to go on, and now here we are planning our 6th.

Hi Jeff!

The last time we were in St. Thomas we did a kayaking excursion through the mangroves and didn't have enough time to make it over to St. John. That's what we are planning on doing on this trip - I've read and heard just wonderful things about it and Jay really likes to snorkel so it seems like a good option.

You don't have to twist too hard, I just need to check out cabin selections. Any input from my seasoned cruisers,,,, I've only been on once.

Did you get my PM this morning?

If you want to be on the Party Deck, look at the ones on Deck 5.

Otherwise, it depends if you want to be closer to Deck 9 or Decks 3 and 4. If it is Deck 9, then go for Deck 7. If you want Decks 3 and 4, go Deck 6.

Actually Deck 6 is right in between both and probably a better location (3 floors up and 2-3 floors down).

Personally, I would look for the highest number possible on the floor you choose (i.e. further from the front of the ship). Although you'll still be at the Forward elevators or further up.

Also, consider bed location (i.e. left or right when you go in). You may think that's weird, but October was our 5th cruise and first time we had the bed on the right. Let me tell you, I was so turned around everytime I entered that room. I never did get use to it.

The other decision is Port or Starboard. On all 5 cruises, when docked at CC, Starboard got the view of the island. I also vaguely remember it being better when in St. Maarten and St. Thomas. St. Thomas, however, the first time, we tendered and Port would have had the better view. I guess I'm just use to being on Starboard (although we had Port two times).

Hope that doesn't confuse you too much.

Janice what Cat. cabins are you looking at? We've stayed in the SPH cabins and then we had the Cat 6 this past cruise.

Hi Janice!

We've only been twice - once in cat 6 midship and once in a cat 4 midship. We like being near the middle of the ship because it's a little easier to get everywhere, but other than that it doesn't really matter too much where our cabin is located as long as we're on board and we've got a balcony (we're suckers for the balcony!).

Jeff or Andy could probably give you some good advice. :goodvibes

Brenda I became a sucker for the balcony this past cruise too. I really loved having the balcony. I loved sitting out there on sea days reading, that was total relaxation for me. I am so glad we got a balcony this time again especially with there being one more sea day on this itinerary!
