It will slow down in a little while Andy. The KKers were anxious to get this thread started, so I think that explains a lot of the posts. We'll slow down for awhile but pick back up in time. Look for this thread to go 50,000 posts or more for sure with this group.

Just looked at the other date we were considering for 2009 (8/15/09). It was one of the Tortola cruises. It was over $450 more for a Cat 10. Not sure if they had a price increase today or not. Needless to say, I don't think we'll be switching. So you are all stuck with me again.

I can try to keep a list going in the first post. I will add that to my list of things to do. If I forget anyone, let me know.

I will put screen name and real name, where everyone is from and type of kids (if any) and their ages. I won't put the room numbers on the first page.

Does this sound o.k. to everyone else?

Me too....chili sounds great! It's in the 20's here today...

Cold and windy here today as well, I walked around reading meters all day and the winchill factor was in the teens and low 20's with winds gusting over 30mph. Hazel just fixed me a nice hot bowl of Chicken Corn Chowder soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. Boy, did they both hit the spot!!!

It's been running slow all day Andy. I'm sure with the new dates out, everyone is on here in some form.

I do like the ornament idea, however it may not be easy to do as it gets closer to the date. I know WE could all go shopping now, but skip ahead a year and a half (oh I WISH)...it's August, we're all trying to start getting our DIStag stuff started, and there's no Christmas decorations in the stores yet. This might be harder (or more expensive) for newer cruisers to do because ornaments aren't "in season" per se.

Am I totally off on this?

I would love to do a repeat cruise, but I am not sure it is in the cards for us-- Of course, we only booked KK1 in February so who knows?

It would be nice if we all lived a little closer...Wouldn't it be great to have a big bowl of chili and chat about the trip? I have chili in the slow cooker. Pick up Suz and DS and come on over. Stop by for Nancy and the gang....

UPDATE: Castaway Club Members who book a 2009 cruise between now and December 10 get a $50 onboard credit.

WOW...this thread is moving slow! I guess no one's excited about KK2?

I think the members of KK1 should divvy up the chores in preparation for KK2.

To do:

- plan DISmeet
- organize DIStag
- plan a party
- design or update logo
- add a new "who's going" table to the Yahoo Groups for KK2
- try to get private wine/beer/margarita/smoothie tastings?

What did I forget?

I will volunteer to plan the party since it was my idea...

Just got off the phone with DCL---$50 Castaway Club OBC had already been applied to my stateroom--in addition to the $200 OBC I got when we booked onboard!!

Call DCL, folks. Get your CC OBC!

Now I need to call again! That's fantastic news!

I have to laugh, KK1 had 3 posts on the first day. It took 3 months to get 6 pages.

Maybe we could go with a theme this time - eg - an xmas ornament for the tree - (small enough to pack and brings back loads of happy memories when you hang it up) or anything else anyone can think of.

Wow, just booked this and I didn't expect to see a roll call already this is awesome!!!!

Just myself and DD she will be 17 by then. We have tried 3 years to get a mother/daughter only cruise and I think we finally are going to do it.

We tried for Oct 08 DD but DH and DS decided to come with us, so this one we aren't going to tell them about well OK DH will see the CC bill but all is good.

Look forward to chatting over the next 2 years

All 6 SPH rooms went to KKers (tell your mom "sorry"). Well I'm not, I got one.

You know there are a few rooms closer to us (5518, 5516, 5514 and the 50XX side as well).
