How did everyone hear about or get started DISing?

Of course, many of you know that I heard about it from the best sister ever!

I heard about it at the beauty salon. I overheard the lady sitting next to me saying she was getting all this great advice there. i asked her what she was talking about and came home that evening and found the KK1 thread!

I was reading a post on another board and the poster had a link in their siggie for a trip report that she had taken on the Magic. From that report, I saw a link to the DISboards, that was January 2003, the rest is DIShistory.....

DS had his first ever basketball practice today. My dad (who is going on the cruise) took him for us. I think both enjoyed it except dad said the DS kept his hands in his pockets when he didn't have the ball!

He told me not to dress DS in pants with pockets next time. Actually DS had practice shorts on under the pants!

Maybe instead milestone races we should do races to 1,000.

So, when do you think they will lock the thread? Have you heard of any standards they are going by? I see they still have about 3 over 10,000, with one that is over 20K I think.

I'm a former Disney Store CM and one of my regulars told me about it! He was asking when we were closing and I asked where he had heard this and he said wdwinfo.com. I went on to check it out and have been here ever since. I lurked for a long time though.
