Hi Mike,

Was on break from a tough meeting, so I decided I need some comfort time with KK2's...

Wished I was going to WDW with you guys...

Know you and Robin and kids will have a great time...Time to bond...

Di jetted to Dallas to get tickets for Grandkids to visit DD this weekend..She will be attending WW meeting presented by New Leader DD..

She will be back tomorrow morning, so "batchelor" night for Walt...

Just finished dinner here, had an Oriental Chicken Salad. The girls had their six month check-up at the dentist this afternoon, so we stopped and picked up salads on the way home after they picked my up at work.

A little long but fun....

Last night I went to visit my dad at the nursing home. He has a new room-mate who is quite loud and rude. He had his recliner halfway into my dad’s area of the room and was in the way of our visit. I asked him nicely if I could move his chair a little and he barked “No” at me. “Just leave me alone”.

OK...not a problem. We just pulled the curtain between the beds. He was clearly annoyed at our conversation with my dad so he turned the volume up on his tv. Hmmmmm, ok, whatever, we’ll just speak louder then. So he swears and cranks it up again! Now no one can hear anything but his tv. His cell phone was ringing off the hook and he was having loud conversations with his buddies and cussing us out to them.

Enough is enough, right? I thought, what would happen if I used my dad’s remote to turn the room-mates tv down? Would it work? YES!!!! I freaked him out too. He cranks it up again, and again I turn it down from behind the curtain. I have my poor dad laughing so hard he’s crying now. Room mate is now all ticked off at the tv because it’s “acting up”. He goes to crank it up again and turns the channel.

So I turn the channel back to the previous one. Now he summons the nurse to complain about his tv acting up. She gets the right channel tuned in for him and adjusts the volume. He’s still cussing at this time. Again he cranks up the volume and this time I turned his tv off on him!

Now I hear him on the phone with maintenance putting in a request to get it fixed!

Who knew you could have so much fun at a nursing home. My dad want us to come back tonight to “play” some more!!

My dad rides his to work weather permitting. Although he even has gloves that hook up to the bike to keep his hands warm. Tanya and I got him a GPS for his bike for christmas. he loves it. We grew up riding with him.

Dad is an "iron butt" on his cycle!
He traveled west and back from WV in less than two weeks! He traveled out an northern route and back a southern route. I think he stopped, snapped a pic, and rode like he11!

I know, I know.......but then i feel like i missed something. Tanya and I were talking about that this evening on the phone.

I have to read it all. I don't want to miss out on a grin, a full-fledged smile, a pic, or a belly laugh!

Hi Walt or Di. I was telling my dad tonight about you 2. He is coming on the cruise with us and rides his motocycle all the time. He did a trip out west a couple of years ago on his bike. He is looking forward to meeting you both and talking "bikes" with you.
I think he was relieved to know there was going to be more than just screaming kids on the cruise! I know he will love it once he gets on the ship. he is so easy going that i know he will have a good time.

I think Dad will be a hit. He is lots of fun. We love for him to travel with us all the time. He goes to many of the WVU games with us! I think our kids will always remember doing fun things with their granddad. Now a cruise, too!

Was there ever a Disney cruise (while the DIS boards existed) that didn't have a cruise meet thread?

I wonder what the records are for the shortest and longest meet threads.

Oh I imagine some of the shorter 3 & 4 days cruises didn't have a cruise meets thread, don't know about the 7 day and longer cruises.........

The 2008 Eastbound Repo thread was well over 80,000 posts before the shutdown last week. Without a doubt, that had to be the longest cruise meets thread to date.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to spend ANY time with them on KK1.

I had nearly 4500 posts on that thread............ and I was nearly 500 posts behind the leader.............

Oh yea, the leader didn't post for the last 6 or 7 months of that thread either...........

That thread started on 1/13/07 and the bookings for that cruise started one year ago today 1/31/07.

They only have one daughter. And olivia is her name. We keep in touch on a regular basis. We are actually trying to convince them to vacation in va this summer. They are looking at doing it. Our DDs hit it off big time.
