morning guys.thinks are good. if i can just get through this contract with work(hoping for a 3 year deal)that will be enough to get me to retirement.

upper 80's and muggy today. storms going through tonite i hear.

Sure hope it all works out for you Mike. I'm so glad we settled the other week, now we are just waiting for our retroactive checks. We can't get them until after the township budget has been passed, which should happen anytime now(at least I hope).

we have our flight booked for wdw in oct. still waiting on my job before we book a 4 day cruise though. waiting on that 90 day out ticker discount site to see what available. if it doesnt work out, we'd be happy just to spend the week at wdw.

Is there much you need to do with the contract or do the Union heads take care of that for you guys?

no, the union guys take care of that. i stay out of all that politcs stuff.
i'm the 15th oldest guy in that place(in terms of years of service)so i've been through all this too many times.
we're just trying to keep what we have. not asking for anything, but its tough to do that these days. companys know they can just ship all the work overseas anytime they want.
maybe i'm an optimist, but i think we'll work something out.

Mike--I remember when I was the "new kid" on the block at work, that was 29+ years ago. Now there is only one person with more years in the water department than me. This fellow graduated from high school with me, but he started working for the water department a couple years before I did. He is also now my foreman, and his older sister is married to my step-father's younger brother. Can we say, "All in the Family"

I just had to find it...and take my turn driving. I could only make it about an hour before it got too hard (sleepy).

Just after I posted this morning, we came up on an accident--really quickly, in pitch black! It was a close one for us for sure. We ran over a bumper that was knocked off of one of the cars. After pulling over,Rob went to see if anyone needed any help. Luckily everyone was ok, but I don't know how. The smaller car was smashed to bits. And the traffic was very fast!

We're now 65 miles north of Florida......just a few more hours!

Hey Andy (or anyone else) if you're still on, can you tell me which park has evening EMH tonight? I never looked it up because we didn't expect to be in the parks tonight, but it turns out we will go afterall. I keep trying to go on Disney's website, but the computer freezes up......

After pulling over,Rob went to see if anyone needed any help. Luckily everyone was ok, but I don't know how. The smaller car was smashed to bits. And the traffic was very fast!

We're now 65 miles north of Florida......just a few more hours!
