So, is the thread going to close this week?

It was started on June 16th, so we'll have to get it closed by Wednesday to keep it under a month.

I think we might have a good shot at closing this chapter down by Wednesday. Who knows when a mad dash, to the end, might take place...........

Yeah, it's been quiet it seems the last couple days, but if you get 4 people or so on here that get going, it will take off. You'll see 4 pages gone in no time.

I looked at the post counts. Looks like you and I will again beat the top 3 this thread. In fact, we'll beat the top 4. And I've been non-existent the last week.

How are things out East?

We had some more rain last night and there is still some in the area this morning.

We're thinking of going to a place called "Cave of the Mounds" today with my brother. We will need to leave in 15 minutes if we do. Suz and DS are still sleeping though. Not sure if that will happen.

My girls are still sound asleep as well here. We have a heat wave starting today and running until Tuesday. The humidity is already starting to build, by Monday the dew points will be in the lower to mid 70's, making it very uncomfortable for those of us who have to be outside working in it. I was going to go into work today, but said the heck with it after my morning workout.

Stay cool. We just had a few warm days, but nothing went over 90*. It has been a cooler summer I think, but a wetter one. We've never had this much rain or green grass at least the last 4 years.

So, will you get afternoon showers because of the heat/humidity?

I am on Rob's laptop with a portable antenna, so I can log on and chat with y'all.

We just passed a sign for the "Risque Cafe." Rob wanted to know if we should stop and get a bite to eat.

i know that place!!!!! i used to tease robin all the time that we should stop there!!do they still have the large billboard stating "we bare all?"
that used to crack me up.

Yes, we can have pop up thunderstorms happen at any time over the next few days, kind of like Florida summer weather.

ps....Mike has Robin bought herself a new "power" suit to go with the new job?......Hazel once bought me a brief case for a new line of work but i had NOTHING TO PUT IN IT so i ended up carrying a case of Magazines around for the next six months.....

well she did buy LOTSof new clothes. i teased her that she spent her raise on new clothes.
and now shes on weight watchers, so when she reaches her "goal weight"
she'll need new clothes again.
but as long as she's happy, i'm happy.

Well, my airline saga continues for getting out to CA for the Repo. Still unsure if Midwest will be flying. We have a couple of alternatives figured out, but the prices are up some today. Plus, I just went out to Priceline and you can NOT "name your own price" on a One-Way ticket.

Guess I'll have to look at using some FF miles on another airline on one of alternative routes. If we don't use the tickets (i.e. MW is still flying), it will only cost us $75 per ticket ($225 total) to switch those seats. Better than $225 plus the cost of the tickets out of pocket right now.

The only problem is the FF tickets would be for a flight the night before. Knowing my luck, MW would still be flying that night but by morning be under and my flight would be canceled and I didn't use the free flight and then be stuck.

Not sure what I'll do. If MW goes under, it should be by August 1st.

Just wonder if we should plan on flying Air Tran out and pay the $75 on MW to change those tickets instead if we want to use them. That may be a better option. But then again, how long will they be around.

O.K. sorry for babbling.
