10/24/2009 Bash On the Boat (I'm with BOB) - Thread #8

Breakfast- 'special K here. Trying to be good. I don't know how long it will last. Pina colada's in the pool this afternoon- the beach will be way to crowded to stay passed noon.

Andy- hope the weather improves, have spent a few rainy days at the shore!!

Gotta get DH up and moving. DS # 2 comes home next friday and need to clean the upstairs. His girlfriend is coming here to see him when he gets back from ROTC. Darn those girls.....

If I eat breakfast it would be my Special K with Red Berries. I love that one. I tried Total w/ Strawberries and it wasn't the same.

Well, have a great Holiday everyone. I'm off to start cutting up veggies, making a fabulous dip (if I do say so myself ) and I'm even baking some chocolate chip cookies for the fireworks tonight.

I like Cheerios with bananas and strawberries. Today, I think I'll beg Rob to make omelets for us......

Hey, can't you and Rob, since he flies, just go over to a hanger on the base and steal a plane for the day? There's a small airport about 5 miles from my house you could fly into. You could come in, have some fun with us, and then head back home.

Where you watching fireworks with Chocolate Chip Cookies Nancy?

I may come there if I'm not eating decorated star cookies here at home while watching the fireworks (or making smores at the fire pit).

Hey, can't you and Rob, since he flies, just go over to a hanger on the base and steal a plane for the day? There's a small airport about 5 miles from my house you could fly into. You could come in, have some fun with us, and then head back home.

Unfortunately he doesn't fly anymore, and the aircraft we would have to steal is Marine One--the president's helicopter is stationed here at Quantico. Now if a desk could qualify as a mode of transportation, we'd be there right away, because that's the only thing he'll be flying for the next 3 years.

We use to eat something called Fruit Harvest that had Bananas, but I can't find it anymore. Just the one with Strawberries and Blueberries.

I'm not on much when you're on. How are things going?

Hope your day and time at the beach are fun despite the kids not being there.

Thanks- how can time at the beach not be fun. Rumor has it the jelly fish are bad so we will see.

Work is busy- I am a number cruncher also and summer is our busy season. They are trying to sell the resort side of our company off so it has us all on edge. The lastest rumor isn't good since the big company in town could just absorb us and not need any of us admin folks. I was content to stay right when I am until retirement.... I dread looking for a new job.... But I can't worry until it really happens.

I like lowfat vanilla yogurt with strawberries. Jay has just recently managed to wean me from Yoplait Whips to real yogurt. GACK! The taste ...


I'm going to make scrambled liquid chicken with some feta cheese later this monring.

Also, doesn't he need to fly so many hours a year to keep his pilot's license?

I'll trade ya one of those star cookies for a chocolate chip cookie. I was actually being self serving with those. I don't like chocolate chip cookies so I thought I'd be safe with that choice. But star cookies???......I'm doomed.

And are those smores with Hershey bars or Caramello Bars?
