Here are a few pics of some of the crowd. Out of about the 100 people who called in their RSVP about 80 showed up. More people arrived after these pics were taken, but they were too late to get into my pics.......:rotfl:

The gift table(actually it's on the bar)...... :lmao:

Lina wanted her Pre-school graduation pic and her Senior pic on the gift table. We still don't know how she made out. After arriving home last night Lina told us her "group" of friends were going to Frank's house to have a movie night and asked if she could join them. So, Lina will be opening her cards and gifts when she gets home today.

And last, but not least, Ben, a member of "The Group" that Lina is friends with was celebrating his 18th Birthday yesterday. Lina asked if it was OK with us, if someone brought him a cake and we could sing Happy Birthday to Ben. Which we did of course. The second pic is of Ben and Lina's "all time BBF Trish."

That's All The Pics For Now Folks!!! :wave2:

Great pics Andy. Looks like everyone had a great time. :wizard:

Morning Mel. Everything all straightened out at work now? Good luck next week. :flower3:

Morning all,

Great pictures Andy, I bet you are glad it's all over.

It's cloudy and thundering here so I don't know who much pool time we will get today.

Heard from ds # 1, he is loving New Zealand. Said it was cold and raining. He went on some cave tours. Spent a few days in Sydney before flying to New Zealand. Have not heard from # 2. He can't call but he should have written by now. Oh well he will be home in 2 weeks.

Have a great Sunday all.

Good morning all.

Andy I loved the pics. The party looked very nice. Perfect decorations.:thumbsup2

An afternoon FO - Hi everyone!:) :lovestruc

Great pics Andy. Looks like everyone had a great time. :wizard:

We really did, once the party got started!!! :rotfl:

I'm not going to dwell on the negatives, but we did have a few before the party started. Had a minor problem when I went to pick up the salads, we were supposed to have 7lbs of mac salad and were only given 5lbs. So while I waited for the girl to scoop in the other 2lbs of mac salad, I ordered 5lbs of Cole Slaw for the party. I must say, everyone raved about the salads. We knew they were good, because that's where Hazel and I always get our salads for here at the house.

Next stop, Party City. The balloons were supposed to be ready by 2:30pm, I arrived at 2:45 and not one of our 40 balloons had been filled. The girl behind the counter had misplaced our order, after about ten minutes of searching, our bag with the balloons was found. Three people started working on our order and in about 10 minutes time, all 40 balloons were filled. I was only able to fit 30 balloons in our car, so I had to take them to the hall, a 20 minute drive, drop those balloon off, then go back to the store for the remaining 10 balloons.

By the time I got back with the balloons, most of the decorating had been completed by Hazel and two of her sisters. One thing did trouble me though. We were told they were enough tables to seat 80 people, the only trouble was, the hall only had 60 chairs. If we had known this ahead of time, we could have rented some chairs from our local Y-By.

After the salads and balloon were delivered, I went home and started loading up the car with the coolers filled of soda. Again, I had to make two trips to get the coolers and soda to the hall. This drive was only 2 minutes, so that wasn't bad at all.

After that was done, I came home got a shower and got dressed, then called our local pizza place and ordered 2 party size pizzas. Hazel reminded me that we had several vegetarians(sp) coming to the party and we needed something different for them to eat. The pizza was also a big hit with the kids and some of the other adults as well.

We had 12 dozen rolls and only used about 6 dozen rolls. The remaining rolls and lunchmeat were divided among whoever wanted it. We also only went through about 1/2 the lunchmeat and cheese, but most of the salads were eaten.

Everyone that I talked too on their way out said they had a good time, and enjoyed the food, which made me very happy!!! :goodvibes

Like I said last night, even with the few glitches we had it all turned out nice. At the end of the party, as we were finishing cleaning up, Lina came up to me, gave me a great big hug, told me she had a great time, gave me a kiss on the cheek and said thanks. That was my best part of the night!!! :goodvibes

I took a couple of "dad minutes" during the cleaning up time and went outside with two balloons. I kissed each balloon and released them into the air. These balloons were in rememberance of our two angels who are always looking down on us. Sorry, the tears are flowing and I can't see the letters on my keyboard, so I'm going to close for now.

Thanks, Nancy!

Hope nobody minded me borrowing the time machine but their wasn't anyone about to ask...

ME?....I was slimmer, taller but still a sandwich short of a picnic but not that daft as to not buy some shares in a company called "Microhard"....:)

Too funny...welcome back, Big Daddy! Don't stay away so long.....

I saw that last night - 9/27/08 is the last date that the Pleasure Island clubs will be open. After that Disney plans to turn it into some sort of annoying hyper-mega-global-compu-shopping-net so that it can be even more family friendly while enticing people to part with more money.

I don't disagree that PI needs a makeover, but as adults who don't have kids (but who often act like kids) it was nice to have someplace to go where we didn't have to worry about the stroller crowd. Is that really too much to ask?

And we loved the AC ... it was so much fun and so unique. They even allowed kids there until 9PM most evenings.

Sad ... bums us out because we'll be at WDW 10/08 and we're staying at SSR this time so we were planning on several AC visits. Guess we'll just have to keep hanging out at Raglan Road instead.

Adults are people, too! I have been looing forward to the time when Rob and I could go here.....bummer that it is closing. Maybe we'll try to get there next month.

Morning all,

Hi Joanne--YES I AM!!!

Hi Lori--Thanks!!! ;)

Hi Heather--Yes Lina did remember everything in the Time Capsule, in fact a music tape "Butterfly Kisses" was in the Time Capsule that I had been looking for, I forgot Lina put it in there 10 years ago...:rotfl:
