Hello Everybody

We are from Scotland, Deborah and Ian, Keith (12) and Olivia (9).

We just booked this Cruise when we were on the Westbound Panama Canal.

But We are not sure if right times about this Cruise because we don't know what exactly our kids school holiday dates. As this is our bummer dates.

I have spoke you Karen at the dibb.

Veranda Man - you send me two postcards last year.

Now I realised that you both are on this Cruise.

I will let you know if we are coming on this cruise or moving to 2010:confused:

Welcome Deborah....yah:cool1: :cool1: another member for Team GB.

I recognise your logon from the WB repo. There are a few of us on the EB Repo and getting excited. Did you do a trip report?

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

More levy breaks this morning ... one in North St. Charles that is threatening to shut down part of I-370 (Jay and I use this highway to get around all the congestion on I-70).

Luckily there aren't many homes or businesses impacted by this breach - it's mostly agricultural land.

Hi Deborah

hope you decide to join us:cool1:

I talked to the store manager today about my hours. I have no idea why he is even the store manager. He does not seem to have a clue. Besides the 7 hours I worked today he gave me 8 hours for the next three days. So I should have 31 hours at the end of this week. Then next weeks schedual was out already I was schedualed 22 hours for the week. He gave me 32 hours. He told me to keep on him each week when the schedual comes out and he will fix it so I work 8's everyday.

So if I can keep getting 8's every week and pick up some houses it should help out greatly.

Good luck getting your hours in, Carrie!

;)

Welcome Deborah! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I hope you decide you join us - I'm Jen, travelling with DH Pete and DS Thomas who will be 6 when we cruise.

Good morning/afternoon all....

Last night we went out to dinner with my Mom and a friend of hers, and Thomas fell asleep in the car on the way home. I took him out of the car, took his shoes off, and put him in bed. He stayed asleep! He thought it was pretty funny when he woke up this morning in his clothes....he also has a field trip with his class today to the pool so he's excited. They'll have perfect weather for it too...80's and only partly cloudy.

Other than that, not much going over here....

Good morning everyone

So it happened again. I did not need to be up until 6:00 but I woke up at 5:00 so while laying in bed who do I see about 5:30 go running down stairs. Mackenzie. Boy did I go after her and tell her it is to early for her to be up. Of course we then had the conversation of "well the sun is up, why can I not be up" I flat out told her the sun is always up in Alaska now go to bed. I worked she went back to her room and I tucked her in. That was an hour ago and I have heard nothing from her.

Wow, glad it's not washing away homes, and hopefully it won't wash away too many crops. What is with all this extreme weather?

Kelsey's photo alubm is now up to date. I was a year and half behind on hers. Putting photo's in albums is just so much easier then scrapbooking. :rotfl2: I don't know why I kill myself by doing both. Oh well I have 5 more albums to do before I am caught up.

another Disney question.....

For you who have stayed at OKW, any suggestions on which building I should request?

We are staying at SoG, POR, and OKW. I am not even attempting a request at SoG (our stays are short there), and we've stayed at POR before, so I know what to request there.

I HAVE 17 DAYS LEFT, PEOPLE!!!:hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Maybe if I leave for work now I can squeeze an additional 5 minutes out of them on the clock. :goodvibes

It's crazy ... the worst part of it is that the Mississippi is expected to remain high through most of July. That's bad news for the levies because they're already stressed and saturated - if we keep getting rain (and it's supposed to rain every day this week) that just makes it even worse.

Also, not to bash the Army Corp of Engineers, but someone needs to put the brakes on all this massive levy building along the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers - it's just pushing the water into a more narrow channel and that forces it higher. And I'm of the mind that some areas just don't need to be developed - commercially or otherwise - because there are two kinds of levies: the kind that have been breached and the kind that will be breached.

There's a reason it's called the flood plain.

Minor rant over. ;)

Maybe that's why they call it "The Mighty Mississippi." When we were home in LA last summer, our family took us to places that are now under water--permanently. These areas used to be fields/farms and people's homes (it hadn't flooded there in a century or more) and now it is marshland.:worried:

Wow, looks like the BOB is on summer vacation along with all the kids.

Almost 3 hours and no posts.

Just checking in for the day while I had a momment.
