Well, it's been a CRAZY and STRESSFUL 24 hours in our house!

I got a call around 4pm from our babysitter (good friend of mine) that Amelia had gone face first into the pool (she doens't know how to swim) and that she swallowed a bunch of water, was vomiting, etc. So imagine my heart and tummy after getting THAT call at work!

Amelia was taken by ambulance to the ER and I met her there. Poor thing was by herself with as she describes them, "The boys that took her to the Dr.!"

She proceeded to vomit a lot at the ER, had to get chest Xrays, an IV and stayed overnight. I stayed with her. She's fine now and everything looks clear. We brought her home a couple of hours ago and she wanted to watch CHicken Little (her new fave movie). She curled up with her blanket on the floor in a corner and quickly fell asleep!

OH it's been a really stressful day for everyone and I am hoping Amelia is not afraid to go in the pool now. We'll have to see.

But she's fine and happy to be home! We're thrilled she's home, too!!!

Melody,

Glad to hear everything is o.k. I can only imagine the stress and fear you had when you got that call.

Here's a   for you and Amelia.

Have them name it Harold Richard - I'll let you figure out what it means. :rolleyes1 :scared1: (ok, that one is just crude)

nope. her moms a teacher and she's off for the summer now.:thumbsup2
i'm afraid there's no way i'll be able to handle 2 little ones once the new one arrives.:scared1: :scared1:
they keep calling him the "nameless child" because they cant decide on a name.:rotfl2:
they are leaning towards Brady Michael.
either that or afeg's suggestion of bernard reginald.:lmao:

DH here.... A little more taste full, how about Robert Early

Go Tribe!!!

I didn't see an answer quickly and I was tired, so shoot me. :rotfl:

He actually likes it a lot. A lot less kids to counselors this year as well as a lot less kids overall. He is learning a lot with it too, not just a "watch your kids" type program.

He says he wants to go back next year, so it must be good.

Is your DS coming down to Soccer Camp there again this year?
yes he is coming down, but we are not sure which week yet.

another Disney question.....

For you who have stayed at OKW, any suggestions on which building I should request?

We are staying at SoG, POR, and OKW. I am not even attempting a request at SoG (our stays are short there), and we've stayed at POR before, so I know what to request there.

I HAVE 17 DAYS LEFT, PEOPLE!!!:hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Paige--I went back and found this info on the DVC Forum in one of the OKW trip reports, this might help:

Also, just a tip - get a building that's numbered 30 or higher, because the one bedrooms have a door in the laundry room that goes into the bathroom without having to walk through the master bedroom. Numbered 29 and down don't have this option, you have only one door through the master to the shower and toilet. We're in building 35, which has this door and is very useful with our teenagers.

Hazel and I just got back from the "Ice Cream Kids" ice cream shop. Lina is off at a friends, so mom and dad snuck out for a little treat, down the street......;)

I have my six month cleaning and check-up at the dentist in a little bit, lucky me... so I probably won't be on much this evening.

I am so sorry to hear this. Do you mind me asking how old she is. If she is still young enough I would suggest doing some mom and me swim classes. Mackenzie was a great little swimmer when she was under two. But when she was 2 she fell into my parents pool. Nothing to the extreme of you. We were all right there and I stuck my leg in and pulled her back to the edge. But it took her up until the ocean on the cruise to get her past her fear. Mom and me classes were great to get her started but it has been a long three years. I so hope that your little one does not have as much issues recovering from this as our did.

Back home from the dentist. I have to go back on Aug 12th, the same night as Hazel and Lina. I had a cavity that was filled back in 1988 that needs to be refilled. Hazel and Lina go on Aug 12th for their 6 month check-up. At least we make it a family affair and save gas (in the car) by going the same night.....:lmao:

Checking in for the evening. Getting ready to go out and cut the grass. I fertilized this weekend and we finally got rain, so now it's growing again. Plus, we're expecting rain tomorrow night into Thursday.

I'd say I'll be missing the run for the milestone, but at 48 posts to go, and as slow as this thread has been moving, I don't think I have to worry.

Now you guys will step it up, right? ;)

glad everything turned out ok.:wizard: :wizard:

Good Night All, I'm calling it a night........:wave2:

Hmm, I must be fighting off a cold or something. Last night I was really tired and cranky, feel to sleep right around nine. Now I just got up from a weird early evening nap. Woke up to a stuffy head and still cranky. Darn it.

I got to work my full 8 today. When I got in this morning, there was already one person in the backroom and no work to do, so I worked on another team that needed some help. At first she was hesitant to let me help her but by 10:00 when I went on break and told her that I was done helping that I needed to go to the backroom, she just about begged me to keep helping her. I found it rather funny. Then right before we opened the LOD (manger for the day) walked passed me. She is the one who likes to send people home to save payroll. She looked at me and said "You don't belong on the floor" I said "I am being a team player and helping the outs team." She looked at me pulled out her daily schedual and said "why are there 2 of you for the backroom right now" I looked at her with a big old grin and said "Because John changed my schedual to give me my hours back." She got mad and walked away.

Scott and I discussed our 10 year trip yet again. There will be lots of this in the next 3 years. But we did decided that if the price does not come down by at least half for the hotel in DL then we will not be doing it. We can not bring ourselves to pay $405 plus tax a night. So we are back to the idea of San Diego.
