ATTENTION ALL WI BOBERS!!!!!

Did you catch the news on Midwest? Looks like they are having trouble once again. They will be pulling all MD-80 planes and stopping the long-haul flights from MKE to LA, Phoenix, LV, SF. Not sure if they will replace the Orlando MD-80 flights with new 717's or what their plan is. They say these routes will be cancelled by fall.

I still stand by the fact the airline will go under within the next couple of years. So much for the great "white knight" buyout they got to protect them from AirTran.

I won't be booking MW for the BOB. Don't trust them. And they don't care about you as a passenger. When answering the question about the people who are already booked on them, the spokesperson said the following:

"These are mainly leisure travelers.

It’s something we'll have to put up with. I don't think getting mad or frustrated is going to help.”

Nice to see they feel about the community that supported them last year.

Since you are all talking about food has anyone ate at Napa Rose in the Californian Wilderness Lodge at DL. We are tossing around the idea of staying at the Lodge for 2 nights of our 10 year which is not until 2011. I was thinking of Napa Rose for a very nice dinner just the two of us.

Ok Carrie I have to correct you on this one, it is the Grand Californian Hotel, although it is very similar to the Wilderness lodge in Fl so I can see why you got confused with the name. My friend and I stayed there in May and had a DCA view, this was the view from our room:

Loved the view, we could see the Napa Rose from our room, but haven't ate there. I thought about it in August but Sean and I figured that it was a bit expensive on top of the cruise. Samantha Brown had a Disney special and she said it was one of her favorite places to eat at.

Jeff are you flying with them in August, and if so will it effect that trip at all?

Yes I am flying them.

I am also flying them back from FL on an MD-80 plane.

They said on the news they will be making their decisions next week as to when they will cut the flights. I'm hoping some US Labor Laws will come into play here since the pilots and attendants are union - something like a 60 notice rule or something. That will get us past the CA portion.

We have airline bankruptcy protection through our travel insurance for the trip (I was going to go out to their site and see if MW is on the exclusion list now - won't effect us because they weren't when we booked).

For the MCO-MKE flight, it is short enough for them to fly their 717's, so hopefully they will just do a plane swap, but I would hazard to guess that they will go from 3 flights to 2, so now take 140 passengers x 3 flights and cram them into 2 flights at 88 passengers.

What will happen with the MKE-LAX flight will be what happened when they cancelled our night non-stop, they will connect in Kansas City using the 717's. I'm just hoping that flight doesn't get cut until after we fly.

I just checked their site and they will still sell you the non-stop flights out west 11 months from now. NICE!

Oh Becky, I just love this photo!!!! How I wish I was there on a day like that!!! :cloud9:

Morning all...it's grey and wet here today and looks like its gonna continue into Sunday. Longest day yesterday (becuase of it being leap year) so the days start getting shorter from today:(

Have you ever seen the Friends episode where Joey keeps eating Toblerones. I think it was when Ross had the English girlfriend Emily.
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Nah, wasn't a "Friends" fan......

That's strange, all our days over here are 24 hours long, do you use different kinds of clocks then we do??? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

JK, I know what you are talking about, summer arrived here at 7:59pm our time last night, now the "daylight" hours start shrinking again.......:( :( :(

Morning/Afternoon All-----first full day of summer has arrived........::yes::

I'm joining on "Dawg's" bandwagon. Sorry to offend any parents out there of teenage boys, but the boys can't be trusted. Lina arrived home last night in tears because some slime ball teenage boy broke her heart. I was already in bed sound asleep when she came in the house sobbing her eyes out. Needless to say, it woke me up and took over an hour to calm her down, took me a couple more hours to get back to sleep. I had planned to go into work this morning, but feel too drained to do that today. :worried:

Neils at work ALL weekend:sad2:

OK..what's TS credits?

Table Service credits - it's Dining Plan lingo. You get a certain number of credit per person per day to use for meals at WDW. You have the option of using credit to dine at signature restaurants but it requires two credits instead of one.

For what it's worth the dining plan is not nearly the great deal this year that it has been in years past, but I can see where families traveling with kids would still derive some benefit from it.
