Good night Heather.

I had to watch the end of the match on my laptop because the local NBC affiliate is showing Cardinal baseball. They tried to do a split screen coverage but watching tennis in a teeny little box is not effective. To say that their decision sucked is an understatement. And Jay and I are huge baseball fans but this game is nothing at this point in the season - they should have just stayed with the tennis match.

I tried calling the station to voice my displeasure and all circuits were busy ... what an interesting coincidence.

Terrific match ... just woswer!

Afternoon all

So I just booked all our shows for Las Vegas in October We're doing three Cirque du Soleil shows KA, Mystere and "O"

Still debating on our anniversary dinner but I think we're going with Delmonico at the Venetian. It came HIGHLY recommended by our friends and family. I'm gonna have a heart attack when our check comes at the end of the meal though I am not the kind of person to pay that much for food but it IS our 10th wedding anniversary so I am taking a very deep breath and making an exception.

I am getting very excited, it's been almost 10 years since we've been there, since our wedding actually

We only had time for two shows when we went to LV last summer--I chose "O". It was amazing! DH chose the other show--magic--his fav.

Actually I wanted to see Penn & Teller on our anniversary but they don't do shows on Fridays

Oh well, I am just lucky to see some shows, the only one we ever could afford while there was the Tournament of Kings which was crap

Thanks Cass, Lori and Tanya. It's still so hard to believe that Jack is really gone. If there was any person I knew that I thought would live to be 100, it would have been Jack.

Hope everyone has a great week! School starts back again for us, teachers back tomorrow, kids back Tuesday. Just when it ends, it starts all over , got to love year round!

For the squeamish don't read the next bit.....Anyone remember the pic i posted on my cyber birds trippe,the one with the "portly" gentleman sat at his PC?.....Well at this moment in time i am that man Hazel put my "Lucky" golf pants in the washer and am now waiting on them drying,for all them who just had supper or breakfast i apologize....OMG the paper bloke is on his way up the drive,do i?

A/ Do what i always do and open the office window and safe him having to walk around the side...

Pants are on Tee off time 7.15....Have a wonderful day....We move into the 20's "Days before we leave" tomorrow Not that were excited or anything...

When I opened our morning newspaper I saw that my former foreman "Jack" at the water department passed away this past Friday. When Hazel called his house this morning his wife "Gail" was so upset that we found out about Jack's death from reading the obit in the paper. Gail thought for sure that either her son or daughter called us on Friday. Jack and Gail were supposed to be at Lina's grad party last Saturday, but Jack had been rushed to the hospital with a gall bladder attack. During the surgery, Jack suffered a heart attack on the table. Jack was brought back, but suffered two more heart attacks during the week and finally passed away on Friday after being on life support the last four days. I will be taking a vacation day this Thursday as Hazel, Lina and I will not miss Jack's funeral, he is going to be missed greatly. Jack was a dear friend to all three of us.

Rest in Peace Jack.......
