I mean, I like it warm, but this is pushing the envelope a little too far, even for me........

You guys have the heat and we're having the storms/rain. Humid temps make for tornado chances. Some places around us got hit w/tornados, we just got LOTS of rain and it is still raining.

Hi everyone I haven't had much of a chance to get on here the past week, it was a busy one, and an even busier one coming up and then we are leaving Fri. evening for our 2 week driving vacation to the northeastern US. Sorry if I missed any birthdays or anniversaries or other celebrations

I was actually about to post here on Fri. afternoon when Rach called, she had planned to stay after school to finish something, and said come get me now they said there's a tornado coming our way. I grabbed the dog, jumped in the car and went and got her, on the way back home the tornado sirens went off so as soon as we got home we headed for the basement. They are saying we could get another 1-3 inches of rain today and more storms, I'm glad I got the lawn mowed yesterday morning.

I was actually about to post here on Fri. afternoon when Rach called, she had planned to stay after school to finish something, and said come get me now they said there's a tornado coming our way. I grabbed the dog, jumped in the car and went and got her, on the way back home the tornado sirens went off so as soon as we got home we headed for the basement. They are saying we could get another 1-3 inches of rain today and more storms, I'm glad I got the lawn mowed yesterday morning.

Mark said that he sounded off the storm sirens 4 times yesterday. The kids & I drove to LaCrosse after one of the storms rolled through, but on our way home we hit another one, actually stopped at the rest area, because the rain was so hard I couldn't see the road. Mark didn't tell me until he got home from work that there were tornadoes by where we were on the hwy.

Hi Jnaice We are definitely water logged! I have never seen so much standing water in our yard or the neighbors as I did yesterday. The sump pump was acting up lats night so Al was working on it and got it to work OK but he wants to go back to the hardware store now and get another part to get it working even better.

I was thinking about Nancy last night too, hoping she's OK. We have some other friends that were supposed to be doing a boy scout family camp out last night somewhere right arounf here, I want to call them today and see if they still had it

Glad you guys are safe!!! We were out running errands when the storms suddenly came through, they developed quickly here. The sirens went off when we were in the Sprint store trying to get Rach's phone fixed. She was a nervous wreck. The rain was coming down so fast and heavy that alot of streets around here were flooded, some impassible. It was an interseting short ride home from our errands.

I have to get going, Al wants to get to the hardware store and he said we can go out for breakfast and finish running the errands that got interupted yesterday. I'll try and get back on here sometime this week again.

Karen, it's ok to have a bad dinner every once in awhile. Just not all the time

I have very plain suppers, absolutely nothing exciting. Last night was home-made spaghetti, night before was oven baked chicken breast, rice and peas and carrots, night before that was pork chops cooked on my George Foreman grill, new potatoes and corn. Tomorrow will be sausage stew (carrots, red potatoes and breakfast sausage & onions). I often eat Chicken Stir fry or plain oven baked chicken breasts...and when Rob is not home for supper I eat either soup or a lean cuisine.

Sounds like you are doing really well Karen, keep it up So far I have lost 5 pounds

Thanks Cass - I run out of ideas sometimes. The sausage stew is a great idea

Whew, hot outside, got to be in the mid 90's.
Huge festival going on outside...."Taste of Syracuse".
They have local restaurants come and bring food samples to sell at $1-$3 per item. Then there's beer and wine tents and 2 stage area's for bands.
We were going to go last night but I wasn't feeling well, perhaps tonight.

Just checked the temp on our back porch, it reads 100* and the thermomator is in the shade.

Quiet day today

Had a fun evening last night. The chinese was delicious (after a week of slimfast smoothies )

I only had 4 alcoholic drinks too.

Hopefully I will still lose a bit this week.

Its a lovely day here today. 82 degrees - I've been testing out my new sunlounger

Bought some more plants today - will plant them when it gets cooler.

Lina and I just got back from Ruby Tuesday where I had the Lump Crab Meat sandwich and it was yummy!!!
