Is that all settled now Andy? You're an "owner"?
(I'm still trying to make sense out of DVC for someone my age). :confused3

Okay... sales pitch time. How many trips a year do you make... Disney or non-Disney? How much $$ would you spend each year for vacation? You can use DVC points in MANY places: London we stayed a 5 star hotel on DVC points; Paris (Disneyland Paris), we stayed at one of the hotels there on points. Cruisin'!!! Mediterranean cruise: half-price after points used!

DVC ownership can be sold (we just picked up an extra 50 points on the resale market) or can be willed to children (or whoever you want!)

Disney finances.

So, I won't ask how old "someone my age" means. But, if you travel, you will use it.

Yep, it's all done now, we had closing this past Friday afternoon, we are DVC(again)!!!

I tried Slim Fast eons ago...before the bars and all. I've also been on NutriSystem and Weight Watchers. I've succeeded at all of the (except the slim fast...drinking lunch was a bit tough for me!) And... I've gained back what I lost and more. I rejoined WW recently... and then had schedule issues and have missed over a month of meetings! Seriously wrong! Good luck with the slim fast!:woohoo:

I'm doing it as a desperate measure. We have 6 weeks to shift a LOT of weight. I' m useless at dieting....my only success was with weightwatchers - I stayed at goal for almost 2 years then went on 2 2 week holidays within a close ammount of time. I put on 8lbs on the first hol and at least the same again on the 2nd. I was so angry with myself and embarrassed that I didnt go back to WW. Now I've put on even more weight and I'm, 25lb over my original WW goal. Hopefully we can shed about 10lb in 6 weeks and it will kick us into better habits and healthy eating. Thanks for the good luck wishes - I'll need all the help I can get!

I must admit I do feel hungry from time to time. Hazel also bought some Nature Valley energy bars and I snack on them in the morning while I am reading meters, they are less messy than the SF snack bars. I usually have a SF snack bar during my afternoon break(I keep them in the frig), then have another one in the evening as a snack.

Thanks for the tips Andy:thumbsup2 I just hope I like one of these smoothie or milk shakes and then we're going to stock up tomorrow. I'll make sure we buy some healthy snacks for inbetween.

That's the kind I get too Andy :thumbsup2 I hate the premade stuff :crazy2:
I started back on it again today.

Karen, as long as I eat my snacks in between the meals, I don't feel hungry once I get going. The first 2-3 days are hard to go from eating to drinking breakfast and lunch but it gets easier as time goes by. Just make sure you eat those 3 snacks or you will get so hungry, you will eat everything in the fridge :rolleyes1 :lmao:

I didnt know you were doing it too! - we can be slimfast buddies! - I hope you do really well:thumbsup2

Do you get the slim fast snacks or use fruit/other stuff?

FO for me!

:woohoo: :woohoo: Well done!:woohoo: :woohoo:

Congrats Andy - dont really know what it is, but I know its exciting for you:yay:

Ok, wish me luck - 58 minutes til the next sunlounger ends on ebay...who's going to outbid me this time?:rolleyes2

The only trouble with this one is its $38 postage

Andy/Cass - Would this be ok for my dinner tonight? -

2" square of lean pork, cabbage, lots of brussel sprouts, carrots, green beans, 2 really small potatoes and a little gravy. Filled up on veggies rather than my usual buttery mash potatoes.

For a tiny snack later if we're peckish, Neil and I might share the slim fast snack bar I bought today.

Sounds good to me. I try my best to keep dinner to around 700 calories, when I can that is........:rolleyes1

You have never heard of Disney Vacation Club(DVC)?

I've heard of it, just never looked into it cuz Neil doesnt like staying onsite. I could never persuade him to join.

Thanks Andy. I'm sure the novelty will wear off, but I'm quite excited at the moment!:yay:

I know!

He likes to be able to walk to a restaurant without either driving or getting a shuttle. We stayed onsite once and he didnt like it. We usually stay on I Drive or LBV. He does all the driving so I cant complain:goodvibes

He drived hundreds of miles every day for work, so I can understand really.

Is Jeffy Boy lurking to get post #2000 since he missed post #1000?
