One more prom photo to display. We received Lina's professional Senior Prom photo today, so I thought I'd post it. Adam still had his sunglasses on due to the shampoo getting in his eyes as he was getting ready for the prom.

Very nice Andy, thanks for sharing!

Thanks All!!! :goodvibes

Spent tonight getting the graduation announcements and party invitations addressed and stamped for tomorrow's mail. Somehow, the 50 party invitations I ordered weren't enough, I had to print off more. Hazel and I planned on inviting 100 people to the party, somehow Lina's list has grown to around 125..........

Sean didn't even know he was graduating this weekend!:rotfl2:

He spoke with his boss on Thursday and I heard him on the phone....
going "Um I think I can work Saturday...."

I yelled "No! You have senior breakfast, graduation practice and then the end of school picnic!"

He says: "Oh, am I graduating this weekend?.... Oh, Bobbi (his boss) I don't think I can work on Sunday.....I'm graduating I guess, oh, maybe I could work in the morning"

OMG!:furious:
I told him he must be the only senior not knowing he's graduating this weekend!
And didn't even tell his boss! Luckily she wasn't mad but she told him that if she was his mother she'd be upset with him too!

I did make him tell her that absolutely no way he's working this weekend, sorry that it inconvienced her.

Crazy kid! he said all he cared about was when was he getting his graduation money?

Howdy peeps!:goodvibes

Late logging on today  - been gardening most of today. I ache like crazy but the though of me ringing an electrician spurred Neil into action:lmao: He's managed to install the water feature, the little lampost light and the 5 spot lights:banana:

It looks great! We've also finished off the turfing now too:yay:

Now we just need a nice weekend to sit and use it

We just watched Premonition with Sandra Bullock. Good movie.

Good film:thumbsup2

I've spent the last 2 nights researching our trip east for this summer. We leave in 2 weeks and I cancelled the hotel reservations we had for both the New York and Boston areas and made different ones. Rach had been asking if we could somehow fit in Philadelphia too so we are now actually going there first and staying one night before heading to New York City. Now I need to research what are the "must do" things for Philadelphia that we can do in 1 day. Andy or anyone else in that area can you give me any recommendations on what to see and where to stay?

Rocky steps - question - who's daft enough to run to the top and then turn round with theor arms in the air .........answer - Neil:lmao:

It sounds like that would hurt but maybe I should try it for my allergies, they've really been driving me nuts this week.

Its a little spout that you insert into one nostril, tilt your head and you will feel the warm salt water run up your nose and then eventually out your other nostril. It does feel really wierd and not pleasant to start with, but you soon get used to it and the benefits are defiantely worth it for allergies.:thumbsup2 ::yes::

Sad moment of the day was when Sarah called me at work crying. The problem with special ed (besides the disability) is that she is in a class of 9-12graders, so some of her friends graduated tonight. She sat out on our porch and listened to some of the ceremony.:sad1:

Big hugs for Sarah:hug: - that must have been real tough for her:hug:

To the UK buddies who are just now getting up, GOOD MORNING!!

Hello!

Chris

Ok, that was a quick catch up - off to a wedding reception in an hour - byeeeeeeeeeee

ps - Nancy - lovely photos of the wedding

The Disneyland first "date" of course has a longer story to tell as well. Matt (and I call him "Matt" because that is how he introduced himself to me that fateful day...me and noone else - ever!) Well... Matt was actually going to grad nite with a couple of friends. I kind of got myself invited to join them. Part of the way through the night, we lost his friends --- they wanted to eat at a mexican place and we didn't. The guys didn't arrange a place to meet. Good for me... I got him to myself the rest of the night!

We have been a Disney couple since then. Our honeymoon was WDW - The Grand Floridian when it was still new. We went back to WDW the next year. And bought into DVC 2 years later (Old Key West now... but then it was just referred to as The Disney Vacation Club on all the signs / buses etc).

As for "getting my B.O.B. on"... I'll work on it!::yes::

 Lucky first date:thumbsup2

Nancy, thanks for sharing the pics! :thumbsup2 Is it just your camera or is everyone wearing black??? :confused3

10 weeks till Sean goes off to Florida!:thumbsup2

Did I mention that a couple of weeks ago he lost his credit/debit card?

I called it in lost and had it cancelled for him ( against Bob telling me to have him do it himself and be responsible, but Sean was really sick for a few days so as the horrible mother I am I did it for him:headache:)

Anyway, about a week and a half later he's showing me something in his wallet and guess what I see!:rolleyes1

He just looks at me and shrugs his shoulders and giggles:bitelip:

"Sean", I say angrily..." How many times did you even look in this wallet for your
missing card?"

Would you believe he looked in there 3 times!::yes::
Yup, my ADHD son.

Off to be all on his own in another state far away from ours!

Guess he's going to have to figure out some way of dealing with life and being responsible really really soon!

Hi Cass!

I noticed that too! But I was thinking how cool that everyone has gotten over that can't do this/ cant' wear this stuff to a wedding and that everyone looked pretty classy in black!:thumbsup2

It probably really makes the bride stand out wearing white:bride:

Off to clean my house, I'll check back later.

Haven't done chores in days.... too tired!
Insomnia at night lately.

Anyone got any good cures?

Actually I think it's very cool! I always wear black! My fave non-colour ::yes::

I haven't worn it to a wedding yet but that's because I figured the bride would kill me :lmao:

Wow, it's so funny you said that!
I always used to say those exact words! ::yes::

Black used to be mine, now I don't really have one.

Black used to be all I wore. I still wear a lot of it but I also wear a lot of blue and purple. I'm not a big colour person, you'll rarely see me in something multicoloured unless it's black/blue/purple :rotfl2:

But in the last few years I've even branched out to wearing brown and green !! :thumbsup2 I know, , but it was a big step for me :rotfl2:

(But what do I know, you're getting advice from the Queen of No Sleep. )

Kids, don't you just love 'em. Lina said she isn't interested in going to her Senior Breakfast, Senior Picnic or Senior Pizza Party. I really can't say anything about that because I didn't attend any of those myself, nor did Hazel.

All I cared about was getting through the Convocation and Graduation Ceremonies. Lina still has 8 more days of classes, then practice begins for the ceremonies.
