Wow, this is my 7th post in a row. Guess no one wants to talk tonight.

I'll go look up hotel prices near DL then.

Karen, feel free to jump in too but here's my 2 cents'...

I would rather limit the size of the DIStag gift than the number of players - I think we already have more than the 20 that played last time at 17 months out!

We just started looking and would like to play. Maybe if the total number wanting to play gets too high, it could be divided into 2 groups?

Hello everyone! My DH has been having so much fun on the DISBoards that I just had to join for myself! DH is Matthew- or Epcot_VA. So, that would make me the DW- Beth! Our 2 daughters will be celebrating their birthday on the cruise. Sarah will be 10 by then (where does the time go?!) and Megan will be 12. She'll just miss the teens! Oh well, that will come with the next cruise, I suppose. It's actually her "fault" that we are becoming cruise addicts: she made a wish on the Magic last summer that we would take a Disney cruise every year! :wizard:

Well, I am looking forward to the planning for the next 17 months! The girls are excited. Megan was complaining that it is "over 500 days" until the cruise!

Hi Beth. I'm Lori. We also live in Va. Look forward to talking to you guys and getting to know you.:thumbsup2

We had a great time playing last year. It was always a big joke for us. Everytime we'd get done delivering some, we'd get back to our room and there would be another one on our door. :faint:

We sure did get our excercise on that cruise. :woohoo:

Welcome Beth.
Geez its been bad weather here today, now i know why we never holiday in England. :(
Its great here in Devon but everything is based on outdoor activities and what do you do when it is p**ing down all day.
Roll on coming to America.:thumbsup2

I hate the weather has been stinky for you all. I will make sure that July is perfect for you all.:rotfl: Hot and humid coming right up!:goodvibes

Matthew,

Awesome pics. And yes, I looked at all 213 of them. Thanks for posting the link.

Question for you, did you guys arrive real early at port or was it that quiet on your cruise? Plus, when you got off, there was very little luggage (unless you got off later).

How was the Atlantis? Did you just take a cab over and tour on your own?

That is one heck of a storm brewing after you left CC. Did the seas get rough?

How was the Toy Story show?

Can I ask what type of camera you have? All your pics turned out great. I can never get the shows to turn out or the atrium.

We actually arrived late. Our DCL bus left the Boardwalk Resort at 12:45 and we got to the Port right about 2:00 PM. We were among the last people to get off. (We were hiding) :rolleyes1 Not really, we had the last breakfast seating at 8:15 am and disembarked at 9:20 am. The ship was sold out though.

I thought Atlantis was worth the visit. We took the DCL Shore Excursion for $39 per person. We toured the aquarium and the "ruins". There is not enough time to do the aquatic park in my opinion. Plus it is was too expensive from DCL. Anyone wanting to do the aquaventure should get a Day Room which includes water park passes.

The storm after Castaway Cay was pretty intense. I took some video of it. I wandered a little on Deck 9. I could not believe that some people were up on Deck 10! A little foolish with the strong winds if you asked me. :duck: There were some pretty big swells and white caps.

I did like the Toy Story Show. There wasn't a Cast Recording CD available as far as I could tell. There was one actress names Rachel that played the role of "Sid". Her performance was truly inspired. We saw her at Castaway Cay and complimented her. She is from Brazil. You actually see a picture of her riding with Mickey in a golf cart from the ship (in my photos). She also played Cruella de Ville in the Golden Mickeys and Esmarelda in Disney Dreams.

I used three different camera. The shows were shot with my newest one. It has excellent low light performance. The model is brand new (Sony DSC-W170). Most of the wide angle shots came from my Canon EOS Digital Rebel Xti using a 10-22mm lens. The picture of the ship from up high (parasailing) was taken with my Sony HDR-UX7 Handycam. It can take still pictures even while videotaping. That was such a lucky shot while bouncing around. :goodvibes

Hi everyone, I'm supposed to be mowing the lawn but I decided to try and catch up here a little first :rolleyes1

I have a question for those of you that have done a cruise on the Wonder? Is there anything you would highly recommend doing at Nassau? I had a dentist appointment this morning and the receptionist is going on a Wonder cruise in Aug. with extended family for her parent's 50th anniversary. She knew we have cruised with Disney and was asking for tips but I couldn't help her with what to do at Nassau because we've never been there. I need to take Rach in next week for her dentist appt. so I told her I could ask my cruising friends if they have any recommendations and let her know next week.

Scott did a snorkling excursion on a catamaran when I sent him a couple of years ago. he loved it.

Hi Beth! Welcome aboard, glad to have you!!!!!! :thumbsup2

We got married in Vegas  It was not what most people expect. There was no Elvis, or drive-through or any of that. It was planned 6 months ahead, got married at a beautiful chapel and 25 of our friends/family came down for it. My mom died shortly after we decided to get married and I didn't want to plan a big wedding without her, so for us, it was perfect :thumbsup2

I always have to clarify my "Vegas" wedding...it was at a true church! I lived there for 6 years. We met at the tail end of high school and got married as soon as I finished college. The wedding was at his parent's church. (He had already moved away.)

Anyway... after living there, the city has no appeal for me for a vacation. We go back to visit Matthew's parents, but the glitz and glamour is just too fake!

Nope, no packing. You should know by now we don't really pack until the last minute. Although, once Suz' friend leaves on the 16th, we will put the suitcases in the guest room and start putting some stuff in. Since DS will know as of Friday, we don't have to hide everything like usual.

As for the hotel, you should see the spreadsheet I just whipped together today to compile the ratings on each property. There are certain criteria that Chris and I have established, now I have ranked them based on ratings, and tonight I will get pricing on about 8 different properties.

We will have it booked by the end of the weekend - I hope. :rolleyes1
I think I got the last of the planning done today. Booked the shuttle to the port, chose to be there by 10am. Will be leaving the hotel at 8:30 am.

You and I will get along great. Mike (Underdog) complains to me all the time about the number of pics I take. :thumbsup2 I am constantly holding things up to take a pic. :hyper:

He sure is happy when we get back though. :)

I like to tell the "story" of our trips. So I take pictures of things that show our journey as well as the attractions once you're there. I took a number of pictures of the shows, but many didn't come out too well. My camera uses an automatic ISO setting for low light. But I am not as good of a human tripod as the real thing. I didn't think the guy in front of me at the show would like it if I asked to rest the camera on his head to steady it.

Robin, congrats on the grades. Way to go.:thumbsup2 Glad to hear you will be around more now. Missed ya!

It doesn't take 90 minutes to get there. Are you stopping on the way? I thought it was only 45 minutes.

Who did you book through? I'm thinking of going with Prime Time. The other one was Super Shuttle.

So I take it you are not doing the DCL transfers anymore.

Karen, I really like the pics. We cant wait to a trip over there. We are talking about it already and its not until 2010. I think we are going to leave Harrison at home since he will be 4 and we are thinking of leaving Julia behind also. I have always wanted to take our kids on a special vacation when they are 13. Alex will be 13 then so that could be her BIG trip. I'm sure I'll change my mind 100 times before then.
We want to do the France Disney Adventure for a week then go to England for the next week. Sean and Cath have agreed to be our private tour guides. That is if they still talk to us after their stay here.;)

Going with Prime Time, they said give it an hour. But they will pick us up at the GCH, then head over and pick Rick and Heather up the the DLH. So you figure by the time everyone is loaded it will be almost 9 when we hit the road. Oh and they wanted to pick us up at 8 and I asked how long does it take to get there and she said an hour so I went with 830.

Any word on if you can get into the port area that early? Still haven't found out how early the gates will open. I know there is a thread out there about that, but no one had an answer yet.

Sounds like the last of the WB got off at 11 or so but I figure that was their first day there and customs probably was a little more careful about checking the ship over. One Person stated that she was told that she could get there at 9am and I want to get there before the other busses do. If I find out later that I can't be there that early then I will push the time up.
