Since everyone has been crying about their little ones growing up, here's one for you.

Today is Cassie's 21st birthday.


She decided that since she was allowed to buy alcohol, she was going to go in to the mini mart and buy some. Kip dropped her at the door, she went in looked at it and ran out of the store.

Then she calls me and says, "I am such a wimp!" I said, "What were you going to do when you bought it?" She said, "I don't know. I don't like the stuff."

We always used this saying on our kids...If you have to drink to have a good time, you've got a problem. The kids would just look at us and roll their eyes. :mao:

Poor Jess she got Id for some NAIL CLIPPERS at the weekend (you have to be 16 or 18 to buy them over here)....she's almost 24...

how about Harley weekend?? Walt and di will be in town too.

I'll make one in if the Waltster brings his "friends"...

i too have heard the rumors of the wild times in the secret pothole cabins.

thats whats worries me about the bob cruise. a lot of those folks are from the
70's and those were wild happening times. free love and such.

Well, now I really do need to get my passport! I am almost 100% sure I'm going to Salzburg, Austria this fall!!!

Right now the two biggest worries I have are:
(1) How the heck am I going to be away from my babies for two weeks, and.
(2) What the heck is a vegetarian supposed to EAT in Austria??!!

Trust me Mel when you see the prices you'll realize you weren't as hungry as you thought you were

Well, now I really do need to get my passport! I am almost 100% sure I'm going to Salzburg, Austria this fall!!!

Right now the two biggest worries I have are:

We want to settle in Florida when my DH retires, too.

Not a problem. I can't belive it was 9 years ago. Seems like yesterday. We love it here. I wish we were closer to Orlando, but out beaches are beautiful, and it never snows. I grew up in Ny and I do miss some of the big city stuff but not enough to move back to winter.

Will you have access to a computer and email? Get a webcam and have DH send you videos of the munchkins!

Shop for souvenirs for them...

Bring photos of them....

And get out, see the sights, and don't think about it!

One more day and we leave for WDW. I am worried about taking these older ladies to WDW. My mother fell yesterday. She seems ok, I have told my sister since she has been here she has to hold on to her going up and down stairs and curbs....ugh. She said she went down slowly so she just hit her butt. I hope nothing happens while we are gone!

I will. The class I'm teaching is a computer-based course plus I'll have my laptop.

It'll be rough but I'm sure they won't remember me being gone in the grand scheme of things. It'll be harder on me for sure.

HELP NEEDED:

Am trying to get from the Hoover Dam up towards ANY viewing point of the Grand Canyon before heading off up to San Francisco (Ive told Hazel "it's just up the road dear" ),Ive tried using Google but for some odd reason it wants me to go by Flagstaff which appears to be miles out of my way.....Any locals with a route Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee?.....
