10/24/2009 - Bash On the Boat (I'm With BOB) - thread #5

I think we'll have to book our flights for the BOB as soon as they come out.

If we look at a group rate, we may want to work with AirTran. Better chance of surviving.

If we charter, not sure which airline is best now days.

I'm getting a little nervous about booking flights with Midwest unless something changes. I'm really starting to wonder how much longer they'll survive. I'll remind Al to try his friend again today to get the travel ajent #

I wanted to get some yard work done too and start taking down Rach's swingset but not only is it too cold but after all the rain we just got it's very wet out there too. I guess it's laundry and cleaning inside for me this weekend :headache:

I figured it would be wet. We got so much rain yesterday, from the storm at 2:00 a.m. to the ones coming through at 10:00 p.m.

Not sure if I said it on the KK thread or not, but I've been saying all along, that if they don't merge with AT, AT will come after them and the airline will be gone in 3 years or so.

They were so arogant when that whole buy out attempt was going on. Then they kept changing their model to be like AT's.

Now the company that owns them is primarily owned by NWA and they are having problems.

We are heading in the opposite direction. Down to Busch Gardens for us! Have fun!!

Hi Shelley

How close to Williamsburg are you? We went to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg when we were there 8 years ago, wow I can't believe it was that long ago. We really liked the Busch Gardens in Williamsburg alot, even more than the one in Tampa. I'd like to get back to that area sometime soon!

Have a great time!

So I read along yesterday (had meetings all day, so when I got a chance I'd check email and the DIS - I had my priorities set :thumbsup2 ).

Do I bother going back and responding to some of the posts or just let it go.

It was nothing important, just me and my normal jabs. :rolleyes1

Andy, there are about 1,000 posts left on this thread. If we get 158 more, we will have 30% of the posts. I don't think either team will catch us.

Good Morning Friends!!

Looks like another Saturday of running around making wedding plans. The hall looks like it's pretty much a done deal. Now we have to contact our church, the photographer and a dj. I sure wish Cass and Rob lived closer, as the last hire would be a done deal too.

Enjoy your weekend eveyrone. :cheer2:

Good luck with all the planning Nancy!

One part of me says, "Thank goodness, it'll be all over in one year" and the other part says "Yikes...give me a little break here kids". ;)

My 3 older sisters all got married within 8 months of each other  I was only 11 at the time but I remember it being a crazy time in our family. Talk about plucking the money tree empty. I remember my dad saying he wished his ship would come in ;)

Mornin Cheryl! :flower3: We are only about 45 min from Williamsburg. We like BGW better then BGT too. It just feels more open. Tampa feels very cramped. I felt like I was being push through the park with all the people.

Mickey is proudly displayed above my desk in the livingroom!!!

Thanks Andy...looks good.

We have done this with our pictures from the cruise last year, it was really good, watching a slide show with music in the background. Sean did it so not sure what you do!

We'll have to give this a try. Of course I'll need either Al or Rach to help because I wouldn't have a clue as to where to begin

There sure was. But all I wanted were the chocolate covered strawberries. Behind the fountain was a huge tray of the berries already dipped. I asked a CM if we could have those and she said we could. Once we took our plateful :rotfl2: others saw what we were doing and joined in. Only Jesse and Kristin were standing at the fountain then.:lmao:

Now you tell me....I only wanted these. I'll look next time.

Well Midwest, our hometown airline (who I think is having really bad financial problems), just screwed us on our flight to LA for the repo.

They didn't just change the time or our flight, they completely go rid of it. They put us on a connecting flight through Kansas City. Sorry, I want the non-stop that I purchased.

Now, instead of flying in the evening, we are now leaving at 8:50 a.m., arriving LA at 11:00 a.m.

Might actually do DL if they are open til midnight that day (figure it will be even quieter than Friday).
Sorry about the flight. I think DL will be open until at least 10pm if not later
We get in @ 12:30 and figured we would hit DCA then go over to DL if we feel like it.

2wks from today I will be in DL w/a friend!

Name of few things you forgot to bring on your last cruise that you won't miss this time around. (Again, could be helpful to our first timers).

I forgot my moisturizer, hairspray, and a waterproof watch for Chuck. Most importantly I missed a picture with Cass!! That will NOT ever happen again.

Like you Nancy...I didn't get to meet everyone and chat.
